I was usuing a 2 year old chart, actually, there are 95 million not in the work force.

89.5 million of them DONOT want a job.

Only 5.5 million WANT A JOB and of those 5.5 million, only 2.5 million were actively seeking work.

That means 2.9 million of the 5.5 aren't even looking. Of that number, 599K aren't even available to work.

Only 591K that are actaully looking are discourgaged about job prospects.

And the biggest chunk... 54 million of that 95 million are 55 years old and over. Baby boomers. This number doesn't surprise anyone who knows how they calculate the labor

participation numbers. Lots of people retiring or nearing retirement that are, in fact, counted in that 95 million.

Honestly I wouldn't be upset if Trump was actually successful, but my expectations are very low based on the people he has selected so far. Looks like the FCC is going to take a huge step back expect more mergers and less competition which will help corporations but not consumers and will probably result in significant job losses as well. The FCC is just one example of how the policy positions of the people selected could have significant economic impact in a way that is not populist by any stretch. If you are smart you will pay attention to what his administration actually does vs. what he tweets. I suspect the two will be completely different.
