When is the last time you ran flat out?

So many people claim they run, but that’s fake news. They’re only jogging (wth happened to that word?). Myself, it’s probably been 2 years when I last visited the track and ran as fast as I possibly could. I really need to get into it again.

Probably college. These days I do Distributed Computing, so I have my computer run flat out instead. 😛

^^^This. If I'm running, there's probably wolves or something behind me. There's never been a time in my life I've enjoyed running.
And I've run out of bullets and people to shoot for said wolves to eat. My 3rd knee surgery was over 33 years ago so...I carry lots of bullets.

3 and a half years. As soon as my son was born I could no longer play on my rec league football team. I've ran on a treadmill a bit at like 7-8mph since then but it's not the same as going all out on a football field. I haven't ran on a track since I was doing HIIT like 4-5 years ago.

Probably spikeball last Saturday, but that's a really short distance so possibly soccer last Thursday.

I started doing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu again 6 months ago. We did flat out sprints across the mat yesterday. It feels good the 1st 2 times across, by the 5th i am tired.

Probably five months ago. I used to go for occasional runs on the weekends but I feel like working out during the week is enough.

About five years ago. I gave myself a head start of about 200 yards and then sprinted. I wanted to see how fast my pit bull could catch up to me. Took her at full speed less than 10 seconds. A humbling experience, knowing that I will never outrun a coyote, mountain lion, or bear. Not that I ever thought I could outrun them. It just puts things into perspective....seconds.

You just have to be faster than the slowest guy.😀

Your dog could run >55MPH? The math on ~270ish yards(since you then sprinted) and 10 seconds is 57mph I think. Your dog might actually be a cheetah, might want to check at the vet.
