I have two TESmart KVM switches one for each 4k monitor, primary and secondary, they have been flawless and probably the most reliable switches I've ever used. Most others lock up are slow, and just overall garbage. However a problem recently just started. When I switch the 2nd one to switch the secondary monitor, it will cause both monitors to do a reset. The whole reason I put a KVM is to avoid just that, because when you switch inputs on the monitor or even simply turn it off the same happens. This is to ensure I can do a seamless transition between work and home without my windows being reshuffled all over the place or that I can turn off my monitor without that happening too. This is a HUGE issue in windows, but unfortunately even Linux Mint seems to experience it now too. This had originally fixed my problem, until now.
Basically what happens is when the secondary switch is switched to the active PC that's when it causes the reset to happen.
I also get this error in dmsg, I assume it's related:
Anyone know how to solve this? I want to ensure that the PC does not even know that the KVM is being switched, as that is what causes it to reset the monitors and reshuffle all the windows. All links are via HDMI. My work PC uses DP to HDMI, but currently is not hooked up so that's out of the equation.
