Choking on a marshmallow will kill you as dead as any land mine. If you're inside your house I'd happily make the claim that you have more to fear from marshmallows than from landmines, and they are therefore more dangerous within the confines of that scenario. I don't see how anyone could be allergic to marshmallows, but if they could then again I would have much more to fear from them than from landmines. Again, everything is subjective and temporal. Everything.
I've read that 100 children die per year from peanut allergies. We need a War on Peanuts.
There already is one, PB is banned from a lot of schools.

A few restaurants that used to have peanuts at the tables (the ones where you just throw the shells on the floor) are now completely peanut free...

If you ask me, peanuts are tastier than guns.😉

The idea of door to door gun confiscation in the US is I believe incorrect. US citizens are losing their rights by a very gradual erosion. Righten restrictions on full auto and suppressors, tighten buying/shipping/selling requirements, ban post-86 machine guns, make a person pay hundreds of dollars and fees, get fingerprinted like a criminal, and wait months to be allowed to carry a firearm assuming their state even allows it, increased restrictions on private sales, bans on posession in large cities, registration. Gun owners are tough talkers about confiscation but its already happening and fighting it doesn't involve shooting at any cops.

Int he immediate future you are almost certainly right. I was thinking about down the road (decades). It WILL come to the point where it is essentially impossible to purchase a firearm. Once they reach that stage the only other step is to take away the existing ones.
I don't know if that would be true, look at full auto guns. There is no need to take them, they're already so tightly controlled and so have had their price artificially inflated so much that they're just a rich man's toy now. Why bother trying to take them when attrition has worked so well?

Full auto guns have not really had the visibility in everyday news that semi-automatics have.

That was because the thread just died suddenly and we haven't heard from 6000SUX for a while. Thats why I put it by itself and not as a reply to any particular post heh.
