Jesus is hit by lightening and you all laugh and make fun of it...ha ha ha.

Got news for you, it wasn't the real Jesus, and the real one is probably reading this thread right now deciding which of you blasphemists he's gonna strike next.

This thread title is awful. I would have never clicked on it if not for the inevitable repost that followed.

Really people, like the search feature isn't ineffective enough?

I live in Monroe, OH and had to dodge the traffic today from the people slowing down to view the remains of the statue. The slowdown caused a 10-15 minute delay on I-75 in a spot where there is normally pretty smooth traffic.

Its really become a fixture here and from reports I've heard was the largest Jesus statue in the United States.

The pastor of the church said the statue and the building was insured and that it will be rebuilt. Including the damage to the building behind the statue (outdoor sound system was fried) the total damage was about $300,000. With donations and the insurance money he'll come back even bigger.

Apparently the statue had multiple lightning counter measures that all failed. Then again, we did have a heck of a storm roll through here last night.

What a colossal waste of money. If I had the power, I'd lightning strike it myself...
