I don't, but I make a joke out of it. Like today for example.

Girl: Wow, I wish I had boobs like hers.
Me: Yeah I wish I had boobs like hers too.

No, don't compliment them. Usually when a thin girl calls herself fat I just get pissed off and punch them in the kidneys.

Are you 4'5" and weigh > 200 pounds? Then by all means, call yourself fat. But so many people draw the line between 'fat' and 'not fat' way too low. If you're nearly 6 feet tall, then of course you're going to be getting close to 150-200 pounds even if you look very thin. You're only truly fat if it's hanging out over your pants.

My wife and I talked about this once till she got pissed off.
I told her it's because women are trained to deceive from the moment they are introduced to makeup. 🙂

I'm not sure what you mean by mind games and little white lies. We aren't trained to deceive, at least not most of us. But we are trained to consider factors that you guys would dismiss as unimportant.
 
I know I should bite but most of the time, I am just speechless. Conversation moving along smoothly, then "I could never wear that, I am fat."

Uh.... (silence).

That's lame but I think it's even more lame (and fake) when you immediately follow up with "No you're not, you're beautiful!"
 
From a rating scale of 1-10, if they are:
5 and below - yes ("no, you don't look fat at all")
6-8 - playful jab ("it doesn't make you look that fat")
9-10 - right cross that they never see coming ("dude, gym, STAT").

they all love it.

She doesn't think that donning makeup even smacks of dishonesty.
She doesn't think that fishing for compliments is a mind game, or deceptive.
There's lots more where that comes from, but you already know it. 🙂

Oh, one more thing...
The little thing that played out up at the top of the thread, "She just wants to know if he wants her". To me, that's just plain wrong.
It's as much akin to cheating as if she'd stuck her toes in her hoop earrings and begged him to fvck her.
My wife would strongly disagree with that statement.

We don't wear makeup or clothes for guys, we wear them for other women. It's a competition thing. But we still need you guys to tell us that it's working, because another woman would never admit it. Unless she knows she's doing it better.

Fishing for compliments is an ego trip - she wants to know that he finds her attractive enough to think about doing her. We know you guys think about sex every 7 seconds - if we can get you to devote one of those seconds to us, we're very flattered. That doesn't mean we want you to do anything about it.
