The 26th... they are so cheap then. 😉

That's when I got mine. Got a pre-lit from Wal-Mart or Lowe's or sometthing, I can't remember. It was retailing for $199. Picked it up on 12/26/07 for $15.

i have never had a real tree. Always wanted one.
The lots I saw in my area were up and selling day after thanksgiving.

And you're from Michigan? We've got Christmas trees up the wazoo here. You really should jump on that this year. They are so much nicer. (Not to mention the smell)

i look around in the back yard for an ample tree, then wait as long as possible, dig it up, bring it in, then replant it after christmas. this year i have noticed i have a great selection of future trees coming in.

yea I know. I love the smell of pine. It is so festive. To me, nothing smells Christmas like fresh pine mixed with Christmas morning breakfast of bacon, waffles and spiced cider. *sigh*

First weekend in december (cant go this year... live too far away). I go with my fiance's family up to michigan. Drive to the same tree farm, take a wagon pulled by horses out to the trees, chop down our trees, have peppermint shnapps hot chocolate, tie them to roofs of our cars, then go to a brewery followed by bar hopping - all finished with crashing in a hotel. Awesome time. Maybe I can find a last minute flight cheap this year.

We typically get it in the evening of the day after Thanksgiving. I'm not a fan of fake trees. Part of the tradition is getting the tree, decorating it and then finding a way to get rid of it after the season.

Tomorrow, I plan to go to Home Depot and pick-up one of those Living Christmas Trees. I had one about five years ago but gave it to my parents when I moved. It must have missed me b/c it then died though my mom has a green thumb.

I got a dependable plastic tree in the basement. No more tree hunting for me in the foreseeable future.
unless the sucker burns down my house.

Day after Thanksgiving with the entire family. Then we decorate it, drink and go to a movie.
