I'm 23 and my hair line is starting to receed noticably. I don't know which is worse - starting from the front or back of the head.

I used to work with a guy that started when he was 17, and IIRC it was mostly gone on top within a year.

20... I had a pretty bad incident while dying my hair from black to blonde and a big patch of hair fell out :( I've kept my head shaved (or covered during the winter) since then.

I'm 19 and my hairline is starting to receed, along with a very very small, but still there, bald spot in the back of my head. :( I hate hair loss.

Hairy genes FTW!!!

I'm 49 and no hair loss here, and my dads 80 and still has a full head of hair.

Although I'm getting more snow on the roof each year, atleast the roof is still there:)

I'm 39 and have a bit of a receding hairline. No problems in the back though. I just have a high forehead...it's more of a sevenhead actualy. :p

Poor bald people.

I'm lucky enough that I have alot of thick hair.

What is it, mother fathat that point to baldness? Or did they leave it as inconclusive?

It's just hair. You could be obese and have a full head of hair; of course, you could be bald and obese.

Find your better traits and emphasize them. No one is perfect. Some grey, some recede, some gain weight, some are short, some too skinny, etc. Cut it short, work out and move on with your life.

;) Still have a full head of hair. Who knows when that will change? But if it happens, I may just be liable to shave it all off.

Unfortunatley your father is irrelevant because the hair is passed on thru the mothers side. Look at your mothers father to know what you've inherited. At least, that's what I've heard (and seems to be true from what I've seen).
