June 2004 for me is the oldest email I have left. I am sure I deleted the welcome message.

WTH is wrong with you people? How can you manage an inbox like that? Do you not use filters/tags?

My inbox: 33
All Mail: 9646

I keep my shit clean yo!
The search works well enough, I've never really felt the need to categorize emails. It all just stays in the inbox and I don't really delete anything except some mailing letters, spam, stuff like that.

2004 for me. unfortunately ive been using it as a spam account. surprised to say that gmails spam filters are amazing - i hardly have any spam in my inbox, because everything went to the spam folder.

'04 with zero emails in inbox. I never leave anything in the inbox. Mostly everything gets deleted, important stuff gets archived, really important stuff gets starred.

I joined in August 2010. I have four emails in total. I've received six emails, but deleted two.

Now the spam folder for my old POP mail address contains 31, 863 emails, since April 2009.

I still have my 'Welcome to GMail' message and it's dated 04/25/2004.

Current status is 1600+ (Inbox)/69000+ (All Mail)

Forgot to look in my all mail. 2005. Sounds better. Almost. I'm thinking 2004 though. I know we dropped aol for good when I was 18.

17,182 e-mails (using all mail)... 16.1k using inbox
You are currently using 1125 MB (15%) of your 7498 MB.

How do you get the exact join date again? I remember finding it long time ago. I think it was around June 2004 though.

About the time it was cool to give out invites.

Never used it, so have no idea. I have an Exchange cluster for my emails.

Two years ago. The oldest email I have is from late last year though. 347 messages. Most of them old Facebook notifications.

I use my Gmail professionally mostly. It's my "business" account. I also use it to send outgoing messages from my phone.

Just under 7000 emails (or conversations, whatever) in All Mail.

I was using it full time in 2004...joined pretty shortly after the public beta invites started, whenever that was. I switched to Google Apps full time sometime in 2007 I think.

I can't really tell when my first sent mails via gmail started. Back in those early days, there weren't any proper tools to export/import old mails from other accounts without crudding up the headers. A lot of my really old emails look like they were sent to and from myself.

When I signed up for gmail, google told me I never had to delete an email again.
Search does work well for the most part, but there have been times when I know what I'm looking for, but don't know exactly what to search for.
In those cases, it would be easier if I didn't have so much unneeded crap in my inbox.
