When dating a new girl/guy, do you tell the real number of people you have been with?

Who cares how many I've been with, or how many you've been with; we're with each other right now, and that's what matters.

The only time I may ask how many previous partners someone has had is if I think they are completely clueless about safe sex.

The number is none of their business. If someone wanted to only date a virgin, they should say that up front, not ask you how many people you've had sex with. The matter of STDs should be addressed before becoming intimate, though, as well as your feelings about unplanned pregnancy.
