While it does sound intriguing, its only a hollow attempt at actual three dimensional television that can only be achieved through holography.

Well you see there is a problem making a holographic display. You have to be able to stop light at a point in space, not something easily done. That is why most prototype holographic displays use a fog of something to react with the light. The display you linked uses the same trick as the old paper and pencil cartoon flip books. It will not work for a full color display with the detail of hdtv.
Also if people got headaches staring at a 60hz display, this would be even worse. One of the problems they are also having with 3d movies. People don't like to look at flicker for a long period of time.
