When are the Democrats going to get their act together?

Elections have consequences, and at the end of the day, Trump won.

How is that relevant? The Democrats should use the power they have from the elections they want to stymie him at every turn to the maximum extent possible. After all that's what Republicans did under Obama. So far his approval ratings are horrible, his signature executive order has been struck down twice and his attempt at a health care bill is looking dead in the water.

I can't think of a worse start to an administration in history. With luck we can keep the failures coming until the midterms at which point we can put almost a total stop to this stupidity.

And this is why the Dimocrats are the Resist party. Regurgitated MSM/Hollywood/Limo Liberal nonsense.

Scientific reality is against Trump. That's not "MSM/Hollywood" crap, that's called a broad scientific consensus based on observable evidence.

He declared the media the "enemy of the people" and cherry picks outlets based on whether nor not they're willing to parrot his lies unchallenged. That's not regurgitated, that's a demonstrable fact.

And sorry, but defunding Planned Parenthood based on a myth, removing transgender protections, and trying to institute unconstitutional immigration bans that have little to do with known threats? Those aren't based on evidence, they're just based on fear and ignorance. Hell, the proposed budget even cuts Meals on Wheels, something that could be paid for with one of Trump's visits to Mar-a-Lago -- that's just spiteful.

Also, remember that your party of choice defined itself as being against whatever Obama was for while he was in office, and forced budget crises purely out of obstructionism. You can't gripe about resistance when that's literally how the Republicans defined themselves for the past 8 years.

It was pretty amusing to see boomerang champion government cuts as a principle and then try and accuse other people of having simple minds. Haha.

I agree that a paralyzed government benefits Republicans, but I think a paralyzed government is of more use to Americans than a dismantled or conservative activist government. I fear that if the Democrats don't use this opportunity to show Republicans the costs associated with their behavior it will simply become a new governing norm and then we're well and truly screwed.
I agree. My point is that it will always be more to the Republican's advantage if government is obstructed so long as government sides with people over corporations.

I mean, what does it take for people to realize that he is just a troll account? He just says controversial things and then instead of engaging in debate just says the most offensive or controversial thing he can think of. Go read his post history, he is not debating, he is just stirring the pot.
He is what we call a small town shit starter.

While it's easy to admit the OP's troll game and skills have majorly devolved over the years, his threads do sometimes grab a bottom feeder or two out of the swamp...

On today's menu, it's deep fried BrandonBullhead

The op is an admitted troll and safely ignored but you appear to actually believe this which is just sad.

I questioned the Democrats strategy of obstructionism - the same people who criticized Republicans for it - and have asked them to lead by example by helping Trump move America down the path to prosperity again.

And what is the best response you three come up with?

Part of me thinks that you can do better than this, so please come up with a sincere and thoughtful reply to the OP. 🙂

This may have escaped your notice, but the Democrats are standing with the Republicans who are now saying "NO."
I am sure they will say "yes" to legislation that favors America if any comes up, but not a blanket "yes."

Unfortunately some of those "Republicans" are RINOs.

I really do hate that term, and other terms like it.

Being the party of no isn't bad if you're saying no to something that is rightly opposed.

Oh and please dont think that I support everything that has been proposed. Im not too cozy with rolling back financial, environmental and privacy regulation. Hopefully cooler heads will prevail. Right now Wall Street thinks it will be the Wild West all over again.

Oh, the Dems are doing that, FDK. They are doing this by stopping Trump in all of his attempts to drag this country into a fascist shithole. Don't worry, you will be saved by people much smarter than you. Just sit back and enjoy the ride. And don't get too excited--you and yours will continue to be as irrelevant as ever. 😉

Republicans can't agree how far right to go, Dems aren't even a factor in their minds cause Repubs know their ideas are fringe wingnut type stuff, at least 60 House Repubs that is. But hey if Republicans want to move toward single payer or a public option bolt-on to the ACA, Democrats will welcome them with open arms.

Good luck with that.:tearsofjoy:

What we need is a Bernie Sanders like guy who is also 30 years younger. For fucks sake, how about some hipster bike riding guy with a messenger bag?

And he should be making arguments like Barack Obama should be paying 70% tax rate on his income.

Actually Felixdecat mostly just parrots mainstream conservative "thinking". It just sounds completely right wing tardy because, well, american conservatism.

It's exactly what Trump voters want. If you voted for him and the fascists, this is on you.

Well after the Caucus Room Conspiracy those days may be gone....

You shouldn't worry though democrats are still propping up corporate democrats over populist democrats which will only help your leader Trump.

Additionally if democratic supporters in the media keep pulling Rachel Maddow level non-events then you won't have anything to worry about from them either OP.

Of course it's a troll, but why don't you ignore the post and focus on the question posed in the thread title instead? And if you think the democrats have their shit together then why is donald trump president? hahahha.

Ahhh, yes, another brain dead, comatose for 8 years troll unsurprisingly appears, although a little late. Guess didn't get the Infowars script sooner.

Comatose people don't vote, and the same brain-dead people who voted for him in november will be voting for him in 2020. Just maybe a little introspection will be required to stop being a loser. Seems like dems need to do something different.

Apparently, many millions of comatose people do indeed vote.

Trump won, ironically, due to the same system he regularly criticized during the campaign.

The Dem's do need to do something different. We will see what they come up with.

This is for sure, Con's will continue the crusade against middle class americans, and their loyal new outlets will continue to spin it.

Honestly the Dems forgot Bill Clinton's lessons and reverted to pre-Clinton liberalism especially during Obama's second term. The best winning combination for Dems would have been Hillary's economic policies and Mike Huckabee's social policies.
