go with all-clad stainless 12-14 inch for a regular frying pan, 13in french skillet or if you want straight edges a saute pan

Better. The last time it the egg-anneal occurred, my wife and I were at our camp in Maine. So, like any good Mainer, I incinerated the offending object in a campfire about 6 feet high. Sadly, we did not reach the melting point of the steel. But that sucker was smokin hot.

im still using the 12" skillet my ex got for free from a pampered chef party 12 years or so ago. its about 3" tall and has a glass lid, that also fits the 12"X6X sauce pan she got. she put on so many parties for them we ended up with a full set of pans, knives and all kinds of other crap for free. so far they have lasted for years with all the abuse i toss at them. im also glad she didnt try to take them when she left... :p
