What's your yearly bonus?

I voted 15% but I'm not a baller. It's just the business I'm in. As other posters have pointed out, in some professions the bonus is a huge chunk of compensation. It lets employee expenses fluctuate depending on the business climate for the year. It's much harder to change the size of a salary than just compute a bonus EOY.

No bonus...but I think my benefits easily make up for it:

- 22 days vacation, accrues to 44
- Something like 14 holidays + a full week off for either Xmas or New Year's
- 12 hours sick time accrued per month (I forget what the max is...something like 30 days)
- Retirement fund (401a) with 2x matching at 5% (mandatory) = 15%
- Great health insurance, dental, vision, Short+Long term Disability, Term Life & AD&D

...so all things considered, especially compared to my last several jobs...I don't need a damn bonus. My boss did buy all of us a $20 starbucks giftcard, which was super nice of him.

Don't find out until February, but I'm thinking 6-8% based on our performance this year vs past years and past bonuses.

Not one penny. Only higher level management does. It is great that the people who have the least to do with the success of the company get the most money from other people's work.

You still work for the school board?

Man... even when I worked for a grocery store, I got a bonus! Sure, it was like $80, but beggars can't be choosers.

Oddly enough, the grocery store had a better Christmas party than any of my real jobs! Free dinner, a gift raffle, and an open bar (which has fun results considering the kind of white trash that works at a grocery store full time)!
