I have cut myself many times with it, and the blades dull in about two weeks....that guy who goes for months must not shave often or have a light beard as I am Tom Selleck in disguise

Dang, you must have tree roots growing out of your face! :)

i have a mach 3.

a single cartridge lasts about 6-12 months because i have a full beard & don't bother shaving half the time, anyway.

Honestly, I'd paid twice what it costs.

I used to use Sensor Excel and it was quite good. But Mach 3 is in a league all it's own.

BTW, I've also tried some of the cheaper 3-bladed razors.......all junk!

Another vote for Mach 3...and Edge gel for sensitive skin.

<< Damn, what do you spud nuts pay for that Mach III? I've been using the simple ass BIC Original since it first came out. >>

When I went up to Ohio for Christmas vacation I didn't pack any razors for the flight. I decided to use a BIC that my stepdad had and it tore my neck to pieces...bled like a stuck pig! Needless to say I bought a Mach 3.

Norelco 5801XL. I love shaving in under 60 seconds. (can you do that with a manual???)

Well, when I shave I always put a loaded Glock on the edge of the sink, cocked and ready to go. Have only had a couple of accidental discharges...from the gun.

Anyway, after I set down my weapon of choice, I pull out the trusty old MACH3 razor and have at it.

<< Manual (like the Mach 3, I didn't know what else to call it) >>

I prefer a straight-razor, but finding those 4" or 5" blades are practically impossible around here. I stick with the "like the Mach 3" thingy. ;)

heh, funny all of you guys should say that about getting a mach3 when you turned 18. I have no idea what i signed up for -- but I just had my birthday on Dec 23rd, and the Mach 3 came in the mail around that time (within a week either way, I don't remember). I am already using it...however I cut myself ocassionally...I think I'm pressing too hard. Do you guys shave in the shower or in the sink?

oh my god Mach 3! I went back to regular gillette razors after using mach 3 once.....yarg did it suck. Though, I still get a shadow cause I only shave down, and my face seriously hates me if I go up.

On another note:
My brother tried shaving with a women's razor the other day 'cause he was out. Ended up just about cutting off his head by the size of his nick. What the hell do they make women's razors out of? Rusted Scalpels?

With the Mach 3 almost no pressure is needed, especially if you have a clean sharp blade. I shave at the sink because I need the mirror to check my results.

i use the mach 3 like everyone else. BTW, has anybody else every noticed that it costs more per blade when you buy more?

I do mine in the shower. Skin stays nice and moist that way with all the hot steam. Shaving with a straight-edge in the shower won't do nearly as much damage to your skin as it would standing outside the shower.

Mach3's cost a FORTUNE! Now way I'll be spending that much money.

Yet another vote for the Mach 3. I've been using it for about a year and a half now, and only cut myself once.

However, cutting yourself with it really sux0rz because you get three parallel scabs on your face. Eek.

Sometimes a blade, sometimes an electric Norelco.

Gillette's still sending out the free razors, huh?

Well, I still use the Sensor handle they sent me when I turned 18, but I switched to sensor excel heads when they came out. I recently rigged a mirror in my shower, because I've discovered what the ladies have known for generations: It's more comfortable to shave in the shower.

A blade only lasts me about a week and a half because my face is so sensitive (I can shave with the grain only, or it hurts bad!) Maybe I will try the Mach 3 if they will last longer. The price of them seems like a waste though, compared to a Sensor. Of course, the price of a Sensor seems like a waste compared to everything else, so maybe I should suck it up and buy the Mach 3 already.

Norelco electric. Nice 'cuz you can shave on the way to work when you're running behind (always) ;)

Somethin' wrong? :p

Garfang - I use "Personal Touch". It's an older brand, but works great. :D

I currently use a cheap Norelco electric - beats a regular razor - no mess, shaves in < 1 minute. I have a Mach 3 I got on my 18th BDay I've never used though
