Whats your WATCH situation?

I have heard people say, that if you buy a high quailty watch, it pays in the end. Other think they exact opposite and say buy a cheap one... they seem to last forever.

What do you guys all own, how long has it lasted you, and how much did you pay?

1-year old $5 Ironman Triathlon. $5 a year for a decent watch is plenty good in my book

That was last year. Back in the days of Value America, and all the other stupid dot coms. Don't remember which I got this particular item from, but they're probably out of business by now.

Heh, I have a Gucci ($250).. Been wearing it for a few years now, still a beautiful watch, still get compliments on it.

Swiss Army, it's a few years old but is one of their more expensive models. My brother gave it to me about a year ago and I haven't had any problems at all.

aRyll, i have two of the Omega Seamasters
Titanium-tantalum-pink gold on titanium
anti-reflective crystal, 18k gold, screw-in crown
helium escape valve, water resistant to 300 meters

I would never buy a watch that goes for 5k myself but I got two as
"payment" for bailing out someone who had misappropriated escrow funds..a big no-no 😉

Anyway, i must admit i love wearing them but I do wish to part with one for say, 3500 If your interested, or know anyone who is. Yeah , i know, I doubt I will find anyone wanting to buy it on here, but thats still 2200 dollars off retail and its a thread on watches so why not go for it

i have a $200 Roox, it's a branch of Seiko that sepecializes in solar powered watches, mine's a chronograph... best watch i've ever owned, even though i would like a omega one day...

I have a $70 Fossil Blue. Been eyeballing a Momo Design watch on Asford the past few weeks. Coupons and their little discount thing take it to the $460 range. Kinda pricey, but I just love the way it looks. Hesitant to buy a watch online though, I like to see how it looks on my arm before shelling out the dough. Don't know of any stores that sell Momo though.

i have a $250 seiko kinetic i got 2 years ago for my birthday, been running great since, and i think its more accurate than my computer's clock. it replaced a $50 timex that i got tired of changing the battery on. i did have a casio databank watch that ran for 7 years on a single battery. it was interesting watching it go for more than a year with the "batt low" indicator on. i think i'd like to have a tag heuer one day. oh, and i have an automatic fake rolex that runs well, but doesn't hold a winding very long. its just that particular watch though, the others that i gave as gifts work better.

$25 Casio TwinCept watch with memory. It looks analog but has the digital. Has lasted me about 4 yrs, love it. Before that I had an Timex Indiglo IronMan II

I have an Omega Seamaster Automatic, I love it. It is pretty damn heavy though hehe. Maybe I should have gotten the titanium version instead of the stainless steel one.

I've got a timex atlantis, which I payed 40 for, and have spent an additional 20 on a metal band. I also have an abc sports ana-digi, that I recieved as a gift. And I keep adiversion Pocket watch also.

I love my $1000 movado my sister bought me...I just get scared when I lose it 🙂 But people love this watch and I get comments on it all the time

Here's a list of what I have:

Pulsar square face analog. $200-$250 I've had it for nearly 10 years. Had to have the crystal replaced last year because I dropped it on the cement. DOH!

Fossil "Star Trek" Like This. analog that my wife got me for Christmas 2000.

Bill Blass $30 square face analog that I've had for 8-9 years.

Citizen round-face analog. Cheapo that I've had for 8-9 years.

Eddie Bauer Ebtek Titanium Analog that I got for my anniversary 2000.

Timex sport digital. Cheapo that I've had for about 5 years.

Dilbert watch that I got for Christmas a 3-4 years ago.

I think that's all. 😉

Breitling Navitmer Jupiter Pilot (around 800 bux or so)
it's one of those chronograph watches with all the numbers on a dial that really rotates but I'm not a pilot so I don't use it. I'm looking fwd to getting a rolex when I can afford it.

I've got a $500 Seiko Titanium... it's pretty nice, all titanium design. Rember, you buy cheap, you buy twice. Sometimes the cheap watches do last but you get what you pay for.

I love watches and have quite a few.

My everyday favorites are my 2 Citizen Aqualand Pros. Also have an Omega, Casio, Seiko and Citizen.

I have a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust 18K gold and stainless which cost me 2300 in 1988. Wish Id have bought a Submariner then also for $1200.

Also have A Breitling Colt Superocean automatic.

A wrist watch is not about just having the time, it makes quite a statement about the wearer. Note clintons cheap plastic POS, I did right off.

I have a $30 Timex Indiglo (don't know what type, it is ALL black).

It's lasted for about 4 or 5 years and is still having no problems.

Of all the things to spend excessive amounts of money on, watches seem the most ridiculous to me. =P
