What's the national average salary? Like 30k or something? AT is averaging 80-100k. Yet I don't know how many times I look in the hot deals forum and someone's like "man this was such a good deal at $39.99 but the $6 shipping kills it."

lol... I just bought a $950 jacket (paid $850), have a bunch of expensive clothes, and still have beaucoup savings. Buy selectively, guilt trip and mentally rape youself everytime you spend a lot of money or waste it, double guess all purchases, and you'll be a step closer to being loaded.

pittsburgh is NYC x 0.40, i.e. less than half as expensive.

a 1200 sqft 2br apartment with a view of the pittsburgh skyline and gym/pool/garage is <$1200

or you can find a nice 1br around the colleges for <$600

compare to $3000 for a 1br in manhattan
