This is a true story.
When I was in high school my family was on our way to see my sister play volleyball. On the way there a dog came flying out of the ditch and ran right in front of my Dad's car. So we went up to the house and had a long talk with the owners of the dog. They were very understanding and mentioned that this is not the first time the dog had ran into the road. Since we were in the country and were going 55+ the dog didn't make it through. We were on our way to New Holstien to see the my sister play against the Huskies. The type of dog we hit......you guessed it, a Husky.

I'm surprised no one reported hitting a moose yet?? Some1 has to had hit one and live to talk about it

Oh, and one injured yippee-dog...hate those fvckers...didn't shed a tear when that little yippee dog ran into the street and hit the corner of my air dam.

1 Squirrel which I think actually committed suicide. The poor little bastard was safely across the street but then ran back and stood on his hind legs while staring me down. Last thing I saw of him was his little bushy tail twitching before I creamed him.

3 rabbits, all in a 30 mile stretch.... one i crushed in a certain way that its heart actually came out of its chest.... one of my ex-gf's has a picture of it.... she thought it was cool
how do you people hit birds? I haven't hit a bird yet. Do they fly in front of your car? Never heard of people hitting birds before seeing this thread.

I have only ran over 1 squirrl so far, it was kinda special cuz it was on my first driving lesson (and it made me a much more confident driver afterwards)

- Bird flew into windshield
- Bird (some non flying type) was crossing the road. Didn't realize it wasn't going to fly away till it was to late.
friend jokes that at this rate I'll hit a deer by the end of the night.

My friend from Vermont's family is in the construction business. He was driving a Mack truck (dump truck)one day while working.

Second hand story. My friend was out with riding his bike (sport bikes, not hogs) Himself and his friends were going at least 200km/h. One of them went head on (no, literally head on) with a seagull. Surprisingly, that person with over 20 years riding experience was able to stop his bike under his own strength. He had a horrible case of whiplash with that collision.

6 Racoons - All at once, mother and babies were crossing the road at night. I came over a hill, and the whole family of coons went flying.

One cat and possibly a dog (not sure on the dog-he ran out in front of my car between two parked cars and took off after I hit him, we never did find him).
