The reception/food alone @ $540/table (10 course dinner) + service charge/tax + other misc stuff was $18k total... this is the hugest deal for asian weddings so you gotta do it right... then you got the ceremony location, pictures, video, limo, tuxs, flowers, rings, priest, pianist, etc... (I can go on for days)... I let my wallet loose a long time ago... I stopped trying to penny pinch when I realized it wasn't worth losing hair over. And it's not like we went with the best of everything either. The dude who we bought the rings from said today's weddings average about $40k.
