Wow, am I really the first to say Beatles?

Zep is second, but still far behind the fab four.

I think the Beatles are going to be on many peoples' lists. They're #2 on mine!

Maybe WAS the greatest band. Judging by their recent performance at the "Hey lets save the earth while spending a ton of money and wasting a lot of fuel to make ourselves feel like we are making a difference, and while we are on stage lets plug our cds" concert I don't think its the case anymore.

Currently I'm really into Boards of Canada and Venetian Snares and trying to figure out why people are so hyped up about Bright Eyes.

All time favorites: Radiohead, Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada.. ah too many to list.. I can't choose a favorite, I like all my bands.

Black Sabbath (before Ozzy left)

My music listening always comes and goes in cycles throughout the years but Black Sabbath (before Ozzy left) sees heavy rotation for at least a month out of every year and usually a lot more than that.

It's not even close ...

"Ladies and Gentlemen, The Greatest Rock and Roll Band in the World"

Also high on my list :

Cream
The Jeff Beck Group (Orig. version only)
The Faces
The Who
AC/DC (But only with Bon)

I love 'Floyd, Yes, Steely Dan, Rush, SRV & Double Trouble, Allman Bros., Todd Rundgren/Utopia, and many, many others, but they don't really fit the classification (ie. R&R).

Pink Floyd by a long shot

As a fan who has seen every one of their tours since Meddle, I'd highly recommend you check out David's recent solo project on DVD - "One Night to Remember - Live at The Royal Albert Hall". It's the best presentation, musically, of PF I have seen, bar none. Though only David and Rick are on-board, that is inconsequential IMHO. David has never sounded better (guitar or vocals) and he is clearly happy these days, which I think is a big contributor to why he's sounding so good. That, plus he's a bit like a fine wine ... better and better with age.

Would this be the same show that was recently on one of Dish Network's HD channels? If so, I agree, fantastic. I know that one was definitely at the Royal Albert Hall.

Core and Purple were really good. I'll just ignore the other albums.

Tiny Music was good too. I have seen them live and they are pretty good, but it is so hard to catch Scott Weiland between his frequent jail "visits".

Mine is probably Nine Inch Nails, but that is barely above several others.

I'm like obsessed with them though, they influence everything I do musically (I'm a guitarist). It kind of sucks sometimes though- when I play other stuff I tend to put Jimmy riffs in everywhere.

He does this "bend-bar-pulloff" technique that I seem to use in every solo. I need a 4 month Zep ban- that's what I need :)
