There are a lot of really good ones, but Band of Brothers is easily my favorite (and in my opinion, easily the best).

For those who haven't seen it yet, here's the trailer for the 'follow up' to BoB:

The Pacific

It looks absolutely incredible. If it's anything like BoB, we're all in for a treat.

Yep, definitely something I'm looking forward to. Might pick up HBO when it comes out.

Midway sucked ass. If it had been done like Tora, Tora, Tora, it would have been a million times better. Instead it was like a 70's prelude to Pearl Harbor, with a shitty love story, crap acting and dialogue, and dubbing over one of the best actors in the cast. Not to mention the incredible web of bullshit woven around Charlton Heston's character.

Dramatic license was totally unnecessary when the facts of the Battle of Midway were more than dramatic enough.

I also recall The Big Red One as being a pretty decent movie but it's been awhile since i've seen it.

The Big Red One is a GREAT WWII movie. I also like a lot of the movies already listed, but I never get tired of watching The Big Red One, and I cannot say that about many other WWII movies.

Another great one that I can watch over and over again is Stalag 17 (It is a mostly serious movie about a German POW camp but, obviously, was also part of the inspiration for Hogan's Heros!).

Your mention of Stalag 17 made me think of another of my favorites, The Great Escape.
