I'm a big fan of Belgian style ales. We have a decent micro brew in NY. Ommegang is decent stuff.

I lub dem all

If I had to pick, I'd say either porter or stout (oatmeal stout, maybe), although I can really enjoy a good bitter IPA from time to time. Your poll is way too specific though, I can't pick one very specific style as my favorite.

That huge poll, and the correct answer is nowhere to be found. The correct answer, of course, is "FREE". From the list, I'd have to say American wheat, such as Widmer Hefeweizen. Although a good stout is very close behind (Terminator Stout).

The ESB stands for Extra Special Bitter, so

ENGLISH PALE ALE: Extra Special/Strong Bitter (aka English Pale Ale) ( Fullers ESB, Adnams Broadside, Shepherd Neame Bishop's Finger, Samuel Smith's Old Brewery Pale Ale, Bass Ale, Whitbread Pale Ale)

i nominate this for poll of the year

and i'll take an ice cold one please.

edit: did you snub Canadian beers?

I didn't snub any beer on purpose...I was cutting and pasting from the BJCP website (see link in OP). However I believe Unibroue is a canadian beer, and they are listed in multiple categories. I have to try some of their beers, particularily the Ephemeral.
Foster's is made in Canada too.
isn't Fosters made in Australia, mate?

Nope, look at a case of it, the stuff we get in the US is made in Canada.

<--- Works at a liquor store.
teh commercials... they lie

"Fosters - Australian for beer"

I like German Pilsners, or beer made in that style. I love Capital Brewery's Capital 1900 and Special Pilsner. So tasty.
