The 9600GT still does 16x10 just fine with the games I have, when I get the chance to play....Just got a Sandforce SSD, the rest of the system is getting tired anyway so will probably wait until end of next year to upgrade....Usually stay with the x6x series, I guess the 560 will be superceded by the time I buy again!

Running a single 8800GT here. Maybe upgrade to a GTX 570 when it's released, but I'm starting to wonder if there's any point. Since almost all PC games lately (with the exception of Civ5, and Starcraft 2 which I don't play anyway) have been lazy console ports, there may be no point to upgrading.

5770 for now, probably won't do an actual upgrade until Southern Islands or later. I might buy another for Crossfire but I'll need to replace the GPU cooler that came with this card (only downside with this, takes up 3 spaces and blocks the 8x slot).

I have a Palit GeForce GTS 450 Sonic Platinum which runs very cool and quiet. I run my games at 1600x1200 and have yet to find a game which doesn't run very well so no need to upgrade just yet.

I'm still rocking the X1950GT on my primary rig. My old primary rig still has an AGP X850Pro.

I did buy three HD6870s and two GTX460 1GBs and one GTX460 768MB (last one for a friend).

i have a 4870x2 and was considering the 6870 which would have not been an upgrade but would have been cooler running and less voltage but i changed my mind for now and will watch what comes out next few months and then decide. i wish Nvidia did not make their cards so expensive all the time

GTX 460 768 MB has some pretty sweet deals...but if you're one of those people that want to buy a 580 for $100 then you'll be waiting a long time.

When they make a new game that challenges my 5750 @ 1600x1200 with less then medium settings.
I wish I was more like you. When I'm gaming I have to be able to run it maxed out or it bugs me. Not even sure why cause usually it's not really noticeable between high or very high. You should get a 460. Great cards.

no, i wait for the next gen cards to come out then buy as close to top as i can afford. i got my current card for $190 shipped from the for sale\trade forum here. most i will spend on video card is $300 or so

-I have two 285's looking for a upgrade to put under water -problem , one 580 is a side move , so two would be needed and a 1+kw psu and two blocks.-$1500 to run console ports lol.
or if a 570 = 480 at $300.00 x 2 might be a option for me.
-will wait to see what the gpu\ PC gaming gods bring ,
-one 6990 @ 30+% over a 580 could work ,but I don't like dual cards and the 28nm cards should be leaking by then.
-maybe for Christmas nv will give us 200 owners drivers that work for a change. then wait it out till the 28nm.
-money is not a big issue ,I just don't see the value in today's options \ pcgames.

I currently crossfire 5770's and was thinking about selling them to go with a 6870 and eventually crossfire it but to be honest I'm not really sure in the near term that would gain me anything if I go from Crossfired 5770s to a single 6870. I might just stick with these for another year until the 7000 series comes out.

Per my signature a 6870 and a 4890 in my spare pc. I might wait a year or so on my next video card purchase. Looking to upgrade my cpu/mobo when Sandy Bridge comes out and pop in an ssd, I think that will benefit me more at this point.

Just replaced my 4870 with a 5770. Getting a 6850 next week. In preparation for the next generation of Codemasters Racers. F1 2010 is right on the verge of playability at 1920x1080 4xAA

5770 and I'll upgrade after the next batch of consoles is released most likely. Cos thats when new games that actually tax modern graphics cards will be released. Until there just isnt much point.

Change 5770 to a 4870 and my sentiments are exactly the same.

Currently running a 4850, it actually handles my gaming needs fine since I really only play SC2, however when bulldozer/sb are both out and hopefully competitively priced I'll build a new rig.

5870. I game in surround/eyefinity therefor it is already time for an upgrade. Waiting for 69xx to see if it is worth grabbing or if I should wait for 2x570

Current card is 6600GT (paid 10 bucks for it, and been using it for a month if that), and my next upgrade will be this Xmas, or maybe a week after if Sandy is on schedule. As to what card that is, minimum will be a 6870.

Frankly I've been an ATI/AMD user for maybe more that 10 years, and this time around I'm aiming for anything low-end from the green camp, hopefully the 560 comes out around the same time. If not, a low-end 69XX is good too. I'm also going for a blue CPU, as the last time I recall owning one was a 486 0_0.

Currently using an 18-month old OCed GTX 260 which works great. About the only thing taxing atm is BFBC2 which I play at 16x10 on High settings with 8xAA / 16xAF and runs flawlessly on my system. Of course, recently upgrading to an i5-760 @ 3.8ghz from an E6750 @ 3.6ghz was a massive boost in performance, so much so that any thoughts I had about needing to upgrade the vid card were set aside for now. And it's really the only game I've been playing consistently for 6+ months.

I have to admit though I did come really close to pulling the trigger recently... on the $210 AR Asus GTX 470 deal last week, and again with the current $215 AC 5870 deal going on. But there is simply no legitimate reason to spend the money. Figure I'll wait another 6 months then re-evaluate the gaming landscape. But if I can max or almost max out most games at 19x12 or 16x10 (scaled), I don't see the point in upgrading.
