I stick to three brands for the core components, not including motherboard - AMD, ATI and Mushkin.

ATI rocks, Mushkin rules and AMD until Intel gets their act together and releases something worth their premium prices.

Mobo: DFI for intel, no pref for AMD
CPU: AMD by a teeeeensy bit
Cooling: Koolance, Thermalright, Swiftech, Cathar
Fans: Vantec 120mm's all the way, even in the 80mm slots =D
Combined computer decibels: as high as possible (some Tornadoes will help)
RAM: OCZ EB, Crucial
Monitor: Apple LCD's
Video Card: nVidia. I have high hopes for the GT
Speakers: Klipsch/Creative
Game: Blizzard, Interplay/Black Isle, Square
Soft Drink: Mountain Dew!!

AMD, ABIT, ENERMAX, Microsoft (for kb/mouse, even though I  my MX Duo, I have had great experiences w/ MS stuff before).

<automated response> I am loyal to no company, as they are not loyal to me. </>

CPU: AMD
CPU Cooler: Thermailright or Swiftech
Motherboard: MSi
Video Card: nVidia (BFG)
Hard Drive: Western Digital
Sound Card: Creative
Case: Cooler Master
PSU: Antec
Case Fans: Cooler Master or Panaflo
Memory: Mushkin
Monitor: Sony
Mouse: Logitech
Keyboard: Microsoft
Speakers: Logitech
Optical Drive: Lite-On or Plextor

Hard Drives: Anything besides Western Digital. I wouldn't buy one if they were giving them away. I'm not kidding, I gave them one more chance with an external drive that was a good deal, I ended up loosing a lot of data to an instantly dead drive (won't even spin up) that was 1 month old. I didn't even bother RMAing it...because I wouldn't want to use the replacement for anything.

Other than that...nothing 🙂 I figure the depth of my bias against WD makes up for not having any others.

After switching to AMD theres no way i'm going back 🙂 I'm also a loyal Creative Labs customer. Other than that, I'll get what's good at the time 🙂 Meaning ATI and nVidia are both game

CPU: AMD
CPU COOLER: Thermalright
CPU FAN: Panaflo
MOBO: ABIT
Video Card: ATI
Hard Drive: WD
Sound Card: No real preference, Turtle Beach...sure...
Case: Antec
PSU: Antec
Memory: Corsair
Montior: No pref. using a Samsung, i like it.
Mouse: logitech
speakers: logitech
keyboard: logitech
Optical: lite-on for the most part

Right now:
Epox, AMD, NEC, and Viewsonic are all preferred. Creative Labs can suck my *bleeeeeeeeeeeep* for selling crap products and shoddy support.

I wouldnt considter WD drives bad. Im sure alot of people here will agree with me. WD is one of the top HD companies. It could be your luck.

Anywayz, i tend to stick to these brands, Antec, Asus, Abit, AMD, Crucial, Corsair, and Logitech

my bias

CPU - AMD
GFX - ATI
Mobo - Asus, MSI
RAM - any long as it works
Case - Antec, Lian-Li
CD - samsung, sony, LG
Fans. - vantec....i like their quietness
Coolers - Zalman, Vantec, Thermaltake at a pinch
HDD - WD, Maxtor
Netowork - dont really no, dont care long as it works fast
Sound - Audigy i love music and games, there is no way id have anything else for the price, creative rule....speakers on the other hand
Speakers - creative, Altec lansing, Logitec, JBL
Printer - HP or cannon
Monitor - not sure
PSU - long as it works quietly its ok
Mouse + Keyboard - logitec everytime

None, though I have a soft spot for Abit boards. They're generally priced right and reliable anyway, so maybe it's just a coincidence that 5 of my last 7 boards have been Abit.

CPU: AMD (intel is ok)
CPU Cooler: Alpha and Thermalright
Motherboard: Abit, Epox, Asus
Video Card: ATI & nVidia
TV Tuner Card: Whatever
Hard Drive: Seagate
Sound Card: Whatever
Case: Antec, Cooler Master, Lian Li
PSU: Antec, Enermax, Enlight, Sparkle, etc
Case Fans: Panaflo
Memory: Crucial, Mushkin, Corsair
Monitor: Samsung, Dell, NEC
Mouse: Logitech
Keyboard: Logitech
Speakers: Klipsch, Creative, Logitech
Optical Drive: NEC, Lite-ON, Samsung, & Plextor

Brands I avoid:
MSI
VIA
Any video card not ATI or Nvidia (I guess Matrox is alright but not what I'm looking for)
Sony except for CRT monitors and Tvs.

CPU: AMD (intel is ok)
CPU Cooler: Vantec
Motherboard: MSI, ABIT
Video Card: ATI
TV Tuner Card: ATI
Hard Drive: Seagate, WD
Sound Card: Creative labs
Case: Antec Lian Li
PSU: Antec & Enermax
Case Fans: Antec
Memory: Corsair, PNY, Crucial
Monitor: NEC, Mitsubishi, Sony
Mouse: Logitech
Keyboard: Logitech
Speakers: Klipsch,
Optical Drive: Benq, Liteon

CPU: AMD (well, not quite a bias, since I'd buy intel if the price/performance was right)
Chipset: nVidia (high-featured NF2's)
Mobo: EPoX (a true bias, since I'm sure other boards by Shuttle, Asus, Abit etc are perfectly fine. I do have a liking for green PCB 🙂)
Cooler: Thermalright (My AX-7 is excellent)
Hard disk: Seagate (though I'd be willing to try other quiet disks)
Keyboard/mouse: Microsoft

I guess my only true biases in the definitional sense would be MS peripherals and EPoX boards.

Mobos - Asus for general purpose mobos, Tyan for server mobos.
Mice/Keyboards - Keytronic for keyboards, Logitech for mice.
Harddrives - Seagate or Hitachi.
Soundcards - Strong bias against Creative 🙂

Aside from that, I don't care much.

Preference list:

CPU: AMD, price/performance is generally better
Mobo: EPoX, ABIT, DFI
Chipsets: VIA (nothing but good luck with them for many years), nVidia (soundstorm equipped)
PSU: PC Power & Cooling, really anything that works though, but I like silence
Case: HEAVY bias towards Lian-Li. I use their products whenever possible
HD: Seagate or Hitachi. RIP Quantum
Memory: Mushkin, Corsair, Kingston's been nice too
Graphics chipsets: Matrox, nVidia (not really biased though, ATi is usually fine too).
Cooling: any large chunk of copper. PC P&C silencer fans are nice, as are Zalman's. I hate all fans though
Display: NEC/Mitsu, EIZO
Sound: no card preference, new Creative stuff is nice. Logitech speakers are wonderful and Grado headphones are insanely good
Keyboard/Mouse: MS or Logitech

Hate list:

ASUS, WD, Lite-On (refuse to stand the test of time), Antec, Gigabyte

IBM (laptops & keyboards), bb ATI & Kingston have always been good to me. Logitech for wireless mice & keyboard. AMD or Intel - I swing both ways, but prefer AMD.

CPU: Technically Equal, but...
Chipset: Intel all the way. Would they please make chipsets for AMD? 😀 VIA is my enemy and must die.
Motherboard: Intel, Asus
Video Card: Asus (for manufacturer), Nvidia for GPU (good drivers)-those are my preferences but I go strongly by price/performance. I like that MSI and Saphire have released some quieter boards, though I've yet to use one.
Hard Drive: Seagate-quiet and reliable, that?s all I want
Sound Card: Creative Labs-always the lowest CPU utilization and least noise, but I don?t like how many extra drivers you have to install for the Audigy 2. I wish they had "reference" type drivers you could download from their website that ONLY install the absolute nessesities, no DVD-Audio, no weird sound schemes, just the Windows drivers.
Case: Antec
PSU: Antec
Case Fans: Antec
Memory: Crucial-Never had a bad stick
Monitor: Sony for CRTs, Samsung LCDs, I guess. The LCD market isn't really mature enough for me to have a real favorite.
Mouse: Microsoft Optical (not the new huge ones)
Optical Drive: Sony
