7.2 last time i checked with one of those machines that sends those waves through your body to check.. you hold it out in front of your chest, steady for about 30 seconds or so and it sends out waves through your body to check the %.. I'm about 5"10 and weigh about 160lbs....i have a good friend whom i work out with and he has like 4.4% body fat... hes about 6'3" and weight ~185-190... pretty ripped guy... i was also told that 2% (maybe 3%) is what your body needs to function properly...

the machine i'm talking about is one similar to this one.. supposed to be pretty accurate

14.3. That's considerably lower than what I thought it would have been.

As of August of '03, I was about 7.5% (measured with calipers).

Haven't been tested since then, but since I've maintained my weight training and a better diet I'd imagine I'm probably about the same, if not less.

Edit: I believe anything less than 7% is classified as 'excessively lean' for a male, and females are generally supposed to have a substantially higher percentage of body fat, since they are the baby carriers (genetically speaking, of course).

Edit #2: That website's test said I was 5%

Just so you guys know,

THIS TEST SUCKS.

It's off by 5-10% .... so in other words, dont take it for anything.

The best tests are with calipers, also the water displacement test is pretty good too.

I HIGHLY doubt some of you guys (not all) who say you are between 5-8% are actually that lean. That's crazy lean. 10% is pretty damn lean and 5% is half of that.....

You have 11% body fat.

You have 18 pounds of fat and 142 pounds of lean (muscle, bone, body water).

Calipers are about as accurate as the test in the link... Air and water displacement tests are most accurate.

Funny you should bring this up, we just measured in my Athletics class today.

I was 5.7%
What method was used for the measurement? 5.7% is in the realm of a Tour de France competitor.

It was an electronic skinfold machine thing. Don't know how accurate it is, but if you saw me you probably wouldn't be too suprised.

5'9 122lbs

Edit, this test told me 9%, but I don't know how accurate it is anyway, especially with a tapemeasurer that isn't every flexible.

Currently 15% but not worried about being lean for the mo.

4% is the 'standard' figure that Dr's quote as being the 'minimum' you need to live. Unless you are roiding up or such you won't be maintaining 4-6% region for long or naturally.

Hey just for reference I'd like to know what a 4-6% guy that isn't a BB looks like on here.

Koing

Here are my measurements I enter in:

Age: 20yrs
BW: 75kg
Waist:34 (non sucked)
Hips: 40
Forearm: 12
Wrist: 7

I get:

You have 11% body fat.

You have 8 kg of fat and 67 kg of lean (muscle, bone, body water).

I KNOW that isn't true as I do not look as lean as I did in the summer when I was not eating loads of crap and bulking.

@ 12.7% measured on fat scales

I'd say I'm about 15% but still with a 6 pack.

Age: 43yrs
BW: 150 lbs
Waist:32 (non sucked)
Hips: 35
Forearm: 11
Wrist: 6.5

Your Results

You have 13.3% body fat.

You have 20 pounds of fat and 130 pounds of lean (muscle, bone, body water).

I believe that this is too high. Last time I got measured with calipers I was about 12.5%, and I've lost some fat since then. I'm probably more like 10 - 11%.

p.s. I think my age is skewing the results. When I put in 20 I get 10% BF.
