That's not completely true. Some swimmers have very high BF %'s (compared to other athletes) and they are very healthy.

I called shens on it when it came out. In high school, I was swimming 8 miles a day (morning and afternoon practice), biking when I had the chance, and had 5% bodyfat. 5'10" and 188# = BMI 27.0.

25.0?29.9 Overweight

According to that site:

Height: 5 feet, 8 inches
Weight: 155 pounds

Your BMI is 23.6, indicating your weight is within the normal range for adults of your height. Maintaining a healthy weight may reduce the risk of chronic diseases associated with overweight and obesity.

says im overweight...

my scale says im 17% BF though...which is all i care about :)

I heard the scale is inaccurate... well this coming from a gym. You're suppose to use the fat caliper and measure in 3-4 areas and calculate it with your age. I'm around 15-17% on the scale, I checked daily.. not sure how accurate it is. I'm prob 23-25% bf with a caliper

But I'm a body builder with less than 15% body fat and a 32-33" waist. The BMI scale obviously is invalid for body builders.
I think it's invalid for anybody who's not Ethiopian.

Muscle. My biceps alone went from 12 inches to 15.5. I still have a lot of work though.
