What's your BMI?

More than half of the U.S. population is overweight. Are anyone of you belong in that demography? Mine is normal. 5'10 at 165.

That's just length in centimeters devided by weight in kilograms, right?
So, that's ~185cm devided by ~80kg ~=2.3125 🙂.

Is that good?

I'm 5'10 and weigh 190. But I don't really like the way BMI is measured considering that I workout often and have more muscle than fat. I'd say I'm probably 15% bodyfat (which isn't low, but isn't too overweight).

I'm 6ft tall and 205 lbs. I'm 'overweight' although honestly I'm fairly in shape. I've been working out again to get back to my old weight which was about 193. Definitely not fat by any means.

Your BMI is 20.6, indicating your weight is within the normal range for adults of your height. Maintaining a healthy weight may reduce the risk of chronic diseases associated with overweight and obesity.

6' 210 lbs.

28.5

But I'm a body builder with less than 15% body fat and a 32-33" waist. The BMI scale obviously is invalid for body builders.

Sorry McFatties, but I'm not part of your group 😀

That's exactly what I am. I think my body fat % was measured to be 14%, but I think it's a bit higher, considering I have a heavier lower body.

Not even just body builders....i used to be a swimmer(10-12 2hour practices a week) and my weight when i swam was right about 193. Thats still technically overweight according to BMI and then as of this morning I'm 204.5 and I work out not as much as I used to but 3 times a week of hard cardio biking plus i'm a student nurse so i'm walking everyday anyways. Yet I'm still 'overweight' with a 33-34'' waist

20.9

But that's after years of not working out so it's much lower. I used to be considered fat by the BMI even though I played sports and I could run a mile in under 6min. It's only accurate for lazy people.
