my dad and I got tired of watching them trade off shooting free throws so we turned to channel 0, which although very repetative (it's not a real channel for us), was more exciting then game 1

Nets have been called on everything... even when Shaq just jumped ontop of Collins~

what else can the nets do . if the refs can't even call the game right~

You people have to REALIZE that when the defender is not in position (not having their feet set) they will get the foul call......its just like how players quickly get in front of an opponent driving to the basket and set their feet and take the charge. SO ......that is why the call went against van horn....and same goes for Collins.......learn the rules before judging those plays....

Oh boy, here we go again. People complaining about foul calls when they don't know the rules.

Get over it, Jersey fans. The Nets can't compete.

GO LAKERS!

i believe van horn did have his feet set on that play, as was collins and elbows to the face are ppretty much offensive fouls anyway...except for that one and kobe's on bibby...

Or your last name just has to be O'Neil and you stand at 7'-1", then you can get away with anything you want.

Shaq has got to be the player most fouled against, with maybe half of those fouls never being called. Funny how only Laker haters whine about foul calls when the Lakers win.

This is why I don't watch the NBA anymore. Shaq is always there standing under the basket to get an easy shot. Shaq is so friggin big, its almost impossible to block him without fouling. I liked the NBA back when the Bulls were actually good. They were a real team unlike the Lakers. Go Bulls :p

The only reason why Shaq is fouls so often is because he fouls everyone else just as bad/many times, if not worse. It's just the way he plays. But, the NBA is more concerned with high-scoring games than they are with fair games, so they let it slide more often with the more popular/higher paid players to create a good show effect.

Van Horn didn't have his feet set....watch sports center.......and neither did collins......and when you're inside the arc under the basket then anything goes.

How does Shaq foul all the time??? You gotta be kidding me. He gets hacked more than anyone just because of his size. Shaq just fights for position down low and there is going to be contact when you do that........and as long as the defender is moving his feet then anything goes......

hey Nets fans. Welcome to a healthy dose of exactly what the Kings took against the Lakers. Now if you look at game 1 of that series, you'll notice a very samilar call against the Kings when Kobe threw an elbow into Doug Kristi's face. That's right, Doug got called for the foul. Just check my signature if you want to see what happened in the Kings/Lakers series. Expect much more of the same.

just saw rick fox run right into van horn and van horn gets called?!!

Hey, it's happened before. Face it, your Nets are up against the impossible. Just look what happen to the Kings. You can dominate the Lakers for 6 games out of 7 and the refs will find a way to give the wins to the Lakers. It doesn't matter how well your Nets play, trust me, the refs will find a way to hand the game over to the Lakers. Notice when Kobe and Shaq has the ball everything they do is a fould against the other player. Shaq can plow that elbow into the defender as many time as he wants, it's call an defensive foul for some reason. Even Bill Walton was crying about that.

Supercyrix,

Doug christie and bibby got hit in the face by kobe's elbow because they stuck their damn face in there......you stick your face close enough during a game and thats bound to happen.....and doug and bibby didn't have position when they got hit so it wasn't kobe's fault.

Stop your damn whining.......go learn the fundamentals of the game before you come here and bitch about some plays you have no clue about.

Yet again, Laker nuthuggers reach and find ways to justify another Laker elbow and a rundown of the defensive player as a defensive foul. Yup, the rules are all documented inside Jerry West's official everything the Laker's way rule book used by the refs around the nba.

You know, it's really hard to play defense when you constantly get whistle for a foul after the offensive player knock you out silly.

Why don't they just get this over with. Just give the damn Lakers an bulldozer or a Earth Destroyer to run down the Nets players with, I'm sure the ref will find a way to call that a foul on the Nets.

From the pages of the Laker's rule book right?

Hey that's a good idea. The next time Jason Kidd gets underneath the basket why don't he kick Shaq and Kobe in the groin because that would be a defensive foul as well right? I mean, you're saying as long as the offensive player is in position underneath the basket all contact is at the expense of the defense.

Rick Fox is an actor, no wonder why he gets so many calls, um, because he fakes them, yeah, maybe

I'm saying if the defensive player is inside the arc then the call will go against him should an offensive player knock the defender down when going to the basket.....and if you actually know anything about basketball you'd know that already.......if you don't know the rules then you have no room to bitch about how the games are officiated.
