All of the stuff you guys are recommending are borrrrring unless you're with a GF or something.
If you're a single or are with other guys, my suggestion is best 🙂

Hey, I'm 37 with a wife and kid...give me a break. If you don't like my suggestions then do something else.

TJ is a great place to get hassled by the Federales if you do something like make a left turn when your not supposed to or break any minor traffic law. Yes, you can be robbed of hundreds even thousands of dollars by corrupt Mexican Officials who will think nothing of throwing your dumb ass in jail for no friggin' reason at all. Sounds like great advice to me...

I've driven through and spent time in TJ on south about 100 miles. You really begin to get an appreciation of a place like this when you are going to dinner and pass through a check point with 4-5 armed Federales with automatic rifles.

Don't expect to have any rights down there. They want your money and they despise you for having it.

Wow, you got pretty angry with your replies.
Everything was made in jest, did you a serious tone in any of my replies ??
The first reply I ever made was in fun cause that guy had a lady friend with him.
Then andylaw started asking questions and I thought he was traveling by himself or with another guy.
I would never recommend TJ to a married guy or hav a GF.....now but if you're single and with a bunch of other guys, TJ can be a blast.

While we're getting wayyyyy off topic, the notion of TJ being unsafe is over-exaggerated.
Just like every other places, if you don't know where you're going or doing you will get yourself in trouble.
I've been to TJ plenty of times and I have NEVER, EVER come close to harms way. And I've been there by myself at night also.

I'm not angry. I've been to/through TJ many times. I'm not saying it's unsafe, I'm just saying that you can't expect the same rights down there that we have here. I've never had a problem going down there but I have run into the anti-American "attitude" with some of the local vendors and the Federales certainly don't give a crap about your 'rights' because you pretty much have none, and if you run into them you better be prepared to pay. Only a dumb fvck would argue otherwise.

Regardless of weather this is getting off topic` I think some of the advice given here is not worth following.
