HIV is a well known disease and it's seriousness isn't questioned by anyone... Whereas countries that don't happen to be favoured by the American administration are portrayed very poorly through media. People like yourself tend to beleive what they are told rather than judging information for themselves and reaching their own conclusions.

nigeria's civil war is an on-going event, well-documented by the media all over the world, and so is north korea's stalin-style concentration camps. you should know iraq is one of the most dangerous place in the world right now.

it's not just american. i read CNN and BBC as well.

The elite class will always have high standard of living everywhere you go.

The elite class in totalitarian authoritarian countries such as North Korea and the former Soviet Union was and is a very large class. Like 10-20% of the population. Look at countries like Mongolia and other poorer countries and the elite class is a much lower percent of the population.
