whats the usual charge for a plumber to fix a leaking sink?

tenants called saying 'major leak' under the sink. i really don't feel like going to fix it. anybody know the usual charge for a plumber to fix something like that?
 
I would say it's likely $200... just a guess... I'm sure it's WAY MORE than it would cost to go tighten the fittings yourself.

oh and call a fvcking plumber because it is going to depend on location, time, etc. Usually about $60-$100 for the call plus materials.

The OP is from California - and I'm assuming that the tenant is in that state, too.

With that being the case, I'd figure a bit higher for the job. $250 - 260 is more realistic.

 
Yeah, $100-$200 depending on the problem. Or $20 for the PVC for you to do it yourself you lazy bum 🙂

With that being the case, I'd figure a bit higher for the job. $250 - 260 is more realistic.

the duplex is in stockton, ca. i guess i have to go do it myself. i don't think it worth to pay so much for a plumber
 
Plumbers here in Mayberry charge $75 per hour and would never finish a job in an hour.

If the plumber needs an assistant , that's $35 an hour.

hmmm i live in manteca....and i'm pretty handy when it comes to plumbing......
