Wow must be weird being able to wear shorts and tshirt or go in the lake in middle of January lol. Well some people might do it here, but it's refered to as polar bear dipping and usually considered crazy. If you need to cut ice to get in the lake the water is too cold anyway.

The worst part about it is my pipes froze for the shower in the master bath (second time in 3 years). I've got a propane heater going now in the garage, which is under the master bedroom. I don't know if it'll make much of a difference because I think the problem is with the pipes on the exterior wall.

The best way to fix this would be for me to pull off the vinyl siding and sheathing in the in the spring and have them shoot some foam in that one outside wall because if I tackle it from the inside it'll mean ceramic tile time.

The weather is crazy great here. Honestly, it doesn't get better than this. We often get this kind of weather in September and October, never in January. It was supposed to end today, but the forecast now is 4 more days just like the last 5 or so and then it will start to cool some.

Peaked at 78°F today. I need to start wearing sunscreen again, the sun's coming back fast.

2F, feels like -9F. We've been experiencing sort of a cold spell in this area. I'm looking forward to next week when it should be in the 20s instead of below 0F with windchill. I want to ride my bike!

8F, feels like -8F. With this incredible cold in Chicago, my thermostat hasn't gotten above 66 and has basically been running for the past 32 hours straight. Stupid drafty windows and poor insulation in my apartment.
