What kind of question is that? Because getting drunk is fun. It's not by any means the only way to have fun, but it sure can be amusing especially if you get drunk with others. The key is moderation.

Not at all. The situations are pretty much the same. Judgement of an activity that many people find enjoyable without having tried it yourself. Speaking from ignorance and all that. Personally, I feel there is no real reason to get "drunk" (or "stupid drunk" is the term I like to use). When you are stupid drunk, you are a totally useless person who just makes themselves look like idiots when they get to that point.

I do however like to drink, although not as much as I used to. I like to drink to the point where I am just getting drunk. The peak of buzzing I guess. At that point, I'm pretty loose and having a good time, yet still functional enough that people can understand what I'm saying and I'm not doing incredibly retarded things.

Drinking doesn't necessarily mean driving drunk and killing someone.

A kid can have sex and get AIDS too if you want to look at it that way.

That is true, but that's also not my point. My uncle was killed because a kid decided to drink himself stupid, then drive. Had he decided to sex himself stupid, and then drive, my uncle would still be alive today; his catching AIDS would not have killed my uncle.

That's cool you acknowledge what the older population here has been saying. I personally smoke weed sometimes because I get really bored after dinner on nights where nothing's going on (i.e. a random Tuesday night) and I watch movies or play games because they're much more funnier or I get very absorbed into a game when I'm high.

Same with social situations with alcohol and without alcohol. Without alcohol people get bored just watching TV at somebody's house, but with alcohol I can be sitting in a furniture-less house with 10 others and we can be entertained all night (it's happened before, no chairs no TV no table no nothing except 6 bottles of alcohol, ice, cups, and a mixer)

unless you end up going to a christian ...goodie goodie school most likely you will be one of the kids that was good and never did anything wrong and freaked out

i have at least 3 friends from hs that did that.....i come back after first year of college and all 3 of them are going no where with their life b/c they smoke/drink all the time and either can't get into a good college or got kicked out of a good college

but everyone else i know....we did stuff in hs not like getting drunk all the time but we experimented so when we got to college we didn't feel like we were some how completely and utterly freed of our parents control and go crazy....b/c we had already got a slight taste of that in hs

but i agree with most everyone else drinking does not always = fun
and yes there are other ways of having fun.....but drinking some (moderation is good for EVERYTHING) at social events can be fun

like someone else said id rather die 10 years earlier than not has as much fun in my younger years....hell
i wish i could have my retirement from age 20-30 and then work till i die b/c i know i would have ALOT more fun with it then than from age 65-death

That is true, but that's also not my point. My uncle was killed because a kid decided to drink himself stupid, then drive. Had he decided to sex himself stupid, and then drive, my uncle would still be alive today; his catching AIDS would not have killed my uncle.
