MMmm, the smell of sizzling flesh in the morning...

I had teeth implanted (they drill a hole in the jawbone and screw in a socket for a fake tooth). After finishing drilling, he sewed the gums back together but the painkiller was wearing off... then he cauterized it with a pointed heat gun, and it was pretty excruciating.

My SO passed a kidney stone - I didn't feel the pain, but from the looks of it - worse than anything I've experienced.

I've never been hurt 'that' bad. Probably separation of my pinky finger from the rest of my hand - all the way to my wrist during a boxing match.

Appendicitis in the middle of Utah without hospital access for three days. When I finally got to a hospital (after pissing blood and my crap being green), doc said 1 more day and it would have ruptured. He said thats "not good"

Talk about a bad side ache........

Having the cotton packing removed from my nose after having sinus-surgery was about the worst, but is closely followed by breaking my ankle after jumping off a staircase & landing in a foot deep hole with my right foot.... I screamed for about 5 minutes.

I'd say the ankle was more intense actual pain, but its a lot harder to ignore severe pain in the center of your face then at the end of your leg!

I wouldn't know personally, but according to my wife its worse then a fractured spine (which she has also experienced) so I'd have to agree!

Most painful? Being shot. Slamming a car into a wall at 135mph is a close second, but I really don't remember that. I got stabbed as well, so that probably rounds out my top three.

Not much, punching a door and then breaking my pinky finger, funny thing is I felt like a dumbass but then I met 3 other people within like 2 months that did the exact same thing.

The metacarpal or just the finger bone? I've broken the little finger metacarpal twice and the ring finger one once on my right hand.. :(

metacarpal.. the one the call the "boxer's fracture" hahaha.

You guys are all messed up. I've lived a painfree life except for small things.

Slipping on wet tile and falling directly on one kneecap, that was painful. It didn't shatter, I was 14 and from what I know now I suspect it wasn't completely ossified, but I have a palpable dent in it to this day. Weird.

I never went to a doctor for it. Would be interesting to have it imaged and compared to the other one now.

So far a very severe earache. And I think that's enough to cripple any man.

I had a (possibly a small-sized) cockroach inside my ear prolly biting or just kicking around for 10 minutes. My mom flooded the ear with water, but it took a while for it to drown. Then it was pulled out in pieces. I was about 10-12 yr old.

Other honorable mentions: soccerball kicked in the balls, rear tooth pulled out (was in really bad shape), unexplained stomach pain caused me to pass out, falling on the back of my head to concrete and fights with brothers, mom beating me up sometimes when I was young, kids jumping on my head in a street fight (age 14) while I was on the ground (1v2 fight, but overall wasn't that bad)
But after age 17 till now, 21 nothing much happened..

Of all my broken bones, sprains, bruises, pulled tendons... An exposed root (half a tooth) can hurt quite a bit and not much you can really do about the pain...

That was my last major pain... dam near felt like i was transforming into something. broke half of one of my incisors while bending to sit down on a couch with a beer bottle in my mouth.

Dang, that sounds painful and yet totally unnecessary. I still feel for you but what the heck were you thinking? :p

my most painful thing had to be my back. Pulled a large mussel under my shoulder blade. It wasn't huge pain at one time but imagine a sharp pain up your spine for 3 weeks every time you took a breath. It was very painful and doctors would only give me Tylenol and Advil as pain medicine and neither did anything for the pain. For instant pain, pulling the ligaments against my shins hurt like hell and I couldn't walk for a week without huge amounts of pain.
