Well, I worked 110 hours in a week this past year. Though none of this was paid as overtime :-( .

32 hours on top of the regular 40 hour/week. Can't recall what I exactly did it for.

I used to work around 60 hrs a week with zero OT pay <salary>. I did that for a few months then decided it wasn't worth it and changed to something else.

Yes, I would agree. Tooling is always a little hit or miss, but somebody missed the boat on this month (actually, the next few months). A flood of new equipment, many pieces not communicated on between the managers, and new problems for old equipment (forced upgrades throughout the company) all hit the door at the same time. Leads to a big mess.

Oh, and I'm going on vacation this Friday and that only makes it worse! :p

I don't get paid for overtime, so no more than 2 hours. If I did get OT pay, I'd work until 9pm.

My longest week was just over 80 hours, worked 7 x 8 hour shifts at my main location, 4 x 6 hour shifts at another store, and worked 6 hours at a relocation site to help prepare for opening day.

Nowadays, since I'm salary, I don't put in more then 43 or 44 hours ever, except when I'm on call, though I get a free day off after I'm on call, so it doesn't bug me too much.

~103 hours straight non stop except for a few meals (ate outside of lab) and nature breaks. 1989. R&D is fun.

I had a hell week of 56 hours total - the next week was semi normal, but I puched out 96.5 hours on a two week pay period. That was a milestone for me. I would have gladly worked for the full hundred.

I love these simple number posts, but as I think about it, my response can be a good way to get self pity.

I worked 160 hours in 2 weeks, but was salaried. I got a $250 bonus as a thank you... I thanked them by no longer working there.

I worked 15 hour days for about 6 months straight at one time.
I made more money than God.

I work 60+ hours every week, and at certain times I'll do 80-100. I can't do it for long without needing time to recover. Just a few months ago I worked several 80 hour weeks in a row with a 100 hour week thrown in, and I felt horrible for the next few weeks working a "normal" 60 hours.

Not overtime, but I used to get my 40 hours over with in 2 1/2 days each week (due to trades), so I could get 4 days off.
Did that for over two years.
Glad it's over. Commuting was a b!tch.

That's me right now. I will work the next 5 days (Sunday through Thursday). Get up at 3:30 am on Friday and head off to Daytona for 8 days in the sun (or hurricane :( ). Time to do the quarterly recharge!

The two week period started over today and already have 12 hours of OT.

P.S. I'm salary also but, because of the nature of my job and the fact that many in similar positions (techs) get overtime pay, then so do I. If it were to stop, it would be...

"8 and out the gate"

:)

LOL. I hear you there. I'm a consultant, so I bill for all of my time; however, I don't get 1.5x my rate.

I've also noticed that I can't put in the hours I used to when I was younger. I'm only 25 now, but I used to be able to pull all-nighters, 80+ hour weeks, etc. without an issue; now about 60 is my normal limit if I want to remain lucid the next week.

 for the hard working Nitemare!

I've had no less than 60 (other than vacations, etc) for almost a year. We hired another controls engineer two years ago with the idea to remove my overtime. I have had more with him than without. We hired another a month ago, and again, my overtime is going though the roof.

I'm begging my boss not to hire anyone else, it's killing me! :p
