What's the most money you've ever found?

Me: About two years ago I went into the bathroom at a restaurant and I found two USPS money orders for $340. 😀

I took them, called the restaurant later and told my story. I held onto them for two weeks, but alas no one claimed them. (I never told them the amounts, only the true owner would know.) They had the receipt stubs still on them, too.

Free $340 for me. 😀

I found a bunch of loose change and bills sitting in this red bin in the mall. There was a smelly guy with a bell standing near it, but I took it anyway.

At one time, 40$.

I've found a couple of 20s at other times, though. Found 5$ last Halloween. 🙂

I found about $300 once. i was rideing my bike out on a trail when i seen a wallet on the ground. It was a skinny tiny thing. There was NO ID or nothing in it. so i kept it! heh

A few years ago i had just cashed my paycheck (didnt have direct deposit yet) of $1150 and was going to pay the deposit on a car. When i lost my wallet! bah i was so ticked off.

DOH! 🙁

we went out to dinner one night a pile of years ago, aiming for a specific restaurant we couldn't find so we stopped at a payphone to call and ask "where the heck ARE you?"..

so I put my quarter in the phone and called and got directions.. and when I hung up the phone, it paid off like a slot machine..

money just poured out the coin return.. lots and lots of money (well.. in quarters.. like.. 80some dollars in change).

I really was kinda afraid I was on candid camera.. the faster I put quarters back in the phone the faster more came out..

I spent a couple days calling around trying to return the money but it appeared nobody was set up for payphone returns, so.. eventually I gave up..

$20. I was riding my bike, had to slam on the brakes, jump off and grab it before it blew away.

Anyone that carries money in wads in their pocket and has it fall out as they look for their keys deserves to lose it.

2x$100 bills laying on the floor of a 7Eleven. I went in to get a drink, but ended up with lunch and headed over to the local one-stop-shop and bought a brand new SBLive when they had just come out. 😀

heh when i was 12 or so we lived in alburqurqe NM. We were staying in a nice apartment complex. Well it had a pop machine (dont remember what kind now) that when you baught a pop if you hit the button like 5 times 5 pops would come out. Not only that but one day i put in the change and got like 3 pops when it gave me the change it gave me like $5 in change. It did that for like 3 days before it was taken out. heh

When I was about 11, I went to a convenience store with a friend, and found $20 on the floor in front of the counter. That's a lot of money to an 11 year old. Earlier this year, I found a $50 in the parking lot at Meijer's. Those are the only times I remember where I found significant amounts of money - there have been a bunch of others where I found random dollar bills.

I found a couple dollars on a table in a restaurant. Actually that happened a few times.
