In the midst some exhaustive car search, I've decided to take a break before I blow up.

What's the most expensive car in the world??? What make is it and full specs?

Depends what kind of car you want to price out.... Are you talking stock "order from the factory stuff" then probably a bentley. But, if you get someone to custumize a Rod or for that matter any kind of vehicle the prices can run into the millions no problem.... Let me see if bentley has a site .. Yeah, and there is all those racecars too
 
My 1992 Saturn SL2 is the most expensive car in the world. While a McLaren F1 can be bought for $1 million, I won't sell my car for anything less than.... ONE MILLION DOLLARS. Err, I mean, ONE HUNDRED BILLION DOLLARS.
 
If its even around, probably the first Corvette to come off the line. You really can't put a price on it...
 
I doubt it's something as new as a McLaren. Probably something really old and rare like a 1940-1950's Rolls Royce or Bugatti or something like that.

The new Bugatti Veyron and older McLaren F1 retail for $1 million+.

I'm sure an original Shelby Cobra or Mercedes Gullwing are worth as much these days.

Also, don't forget some of the really rare cars the Sultan of Brunei has: Ferrari 456 Wagon, white, convertible Ferrari Testerossa, etc.

Edit: Are we talking about cars independent of their owners? I bet Elvis' Cadillac is worth a lot.

This Bugatti Type 41 Royale was the brainchild of Ettore Bugatti--and also a hugely expensive misstep in the history of his firm. In the 1920s, Bugatti was expecting to get a contract from the French military to build 16-cylinder aircraft engines. The contract never materialized, but Bugatti felt he could use half that engine, a straight eight, to form one of the most amazing luxury cars in history.

Most expensive would be a vintage car that is I think 1 of 15 in the world or something like that.

Most pricey newish car would be the F1 but they stopped production of that..........
 
I think the most expensive street legal car ever sold is the
Beatles car... went for serveral million at an auction.


The most expensive car in the world in terms of constuction costs
is probably the space shuttle transporter.



 
If we're talking about straight out of the factory, completely brand new vehicles, I believe the Mercedes CLK-GTR roadster was the most expensive street vehicle to date at ~1.5 million USD.

Obviously a number of other cars sold for more in auctions and such, but those are vintage cars mostly.
 
I was watching tv today and on the news they were talking about finding a buncha cars in baghdad that belonged to the gov leaders, reportedly one of them was worth atleast 10 million.

I think it's one of those 1938 Buggati. Ralp Lauren has one.
 
I remember seeing a company that converted old F1 cars (the open wheel kind, kinda like CART cars) for use on the road, they went for something like 2.something million dollars
