Whats the longest you ever stayed awake?

Me for about 2 days, my one friend stayed up for 72 hours, he started to see things and felt very sick, but could'nt fall asleep even though he wanted too..

well I think my record is something in the area of 36 hours or so.....I've tried taking a 24-hour marathon in both IRC and EverQuest.....heh kinda sad

Estimating days of the week here, but I woke up monday morning, didn't fall asleep until wednesday at around 6pm. It was the first week the plane of fear opened in everquest. Sure glad I had the willpower to give that game up.

~36 hours. The last day of school in 8th grade, I got up around 6 and then went to a party right after that day. We stayed up all night, then went paintballing the next day. I didn't even feel tired until I got home (it was humid and 90+ degrees) and then, I just collapsed. Our air conditioning was broken too, so I kept waking up, bitching at my parents, then falling back asleep.

ehhe one of my friends is an insomniac.... last year she went 4-5 days and started seeing things

Little over 3 days with the help of some stimulants. Then I slept for over 24 hrs. It was really scary waking up and not knowing what day it was. Also, I woke up at 9:00 am but didn't know if it was really am or pm.

7 days on 3 hours of sleep. I was in the US Army and we were doing a CIC (Combat In Cities) defensive training op at the time (West Berlin). I wouldn't recommend it.

When I was 11, I went to camp. Got homesick, stayed up 3 days straight without even a bit of sleepiness. When I was 17, I stayed up 5 days preparing for the Academic Decathlon. When I got to college, I only managed 4 days. Sad, I'm getting old...
