today, I pre-ordered 4 boxes of Pumpkin Spice k-cups :awe: looking forward to them... I love pumpkin-flavored coffee. always annoys me that it's not available year-round, as if they can't make artificial pumpkin flavor outside of September-November.

prior to that, I think the last thing I preordered was Civ 5... that I kinda regret. I enjoyed the game and all, but I felt mega-butthurt after I preordered it for $60 and then a week after release, it got marked down to like $20.

pretty much agree, at least when it comes to video games (unless they have a really great pre-order bonus)... way too many instances, this year alone, of pre-ordering a video game only to have the price get slashed a week after launch (and the video game itself turn out to be mediocre)

Yeah I don't understand that. It's the only time I get a latte at Starbucks.

Anyway Hank Williams III's latest CD - Ghost to a Ghost. Didn't get it yet. Before that was Steve Earle - I'll Never Get Out of This World Alive and yes I am satisfied.

Once I pre-ordered a CD at around $15 and by the time it had been released a week or so the price went down to $11.99.

So now if there's something I want coming out for $14-$15 I wait. Also Amazon has daily mp3 deals, often new releases for $3.99.

Worst preorder so far: A book that I swore was a technical guide to a topic which turned out to be general textbook type coverage. Soooo disappointing considering the rarity of books in my field.

That's the point...EVERYONE can still make that joke because what they turned out wasn't worth producing...

I actually don't think I've ever "pre-ordered" anything...I'm on the other end of the spectrum...I'll wait 4-6 months after release for the price to drop.

I'm with you OP. Think Rage will be the last game I get on release day. They always drop 50%+ within 2-3 months, and half the time I don't even get around to opening the game by then lol.
