<<abolutiza: yet another lame question on ATOT>>

I'm wondering if that isn't possibly a limp response.

About 115-120MPH for most of the stretch of the 91 from the 605 to Gardena to pick-up my mom from work during the 4th quarter of Game 7 of the 2000 WCF. Was worried not to have her call after clocking out. Turned out she, like the others, was watching the game on the big-screens at Sam's Club. I only got to hear most of the comeback while on radio on the way there... at least Chick & Stu made it feel like I was there, as is typical of their play-calling. :)

That was in my 1996 Hyundai Elantra. Speed was correlated with the Lakers level-of-play that day, and my level of excitement. :D

I've hit 108MPH in our '93 Cutlass Supreme and 112MPH in my friend's '94 Mercury Village (it was suprisingly stable)

I went on a 160 miles trip last week and I hit 90-95 many times, no big deal there... I mean 90MPH is fast, but it's not that bad...

What I call FAST is over 110MPH... as I passenger, I've been to 130MPH in a 1998 Cadillac STS.

i topped out a Mercury mountaineer that was my friends, i took it all the way around to about the 7oclock position and had it pinned against the odometer pin. I have no clue how fast i was going, but i do know the speedometer's highest # was at 125.

~140mph in my '97 Integra GSR. I say ~140 because I'm not sure how accurate the speedometer is at that speed... the tach was at 7500rpm in 5th gear and wouldn't go faster :( This was on the 5 going up/down between LA and SF. Another time was ~135 driving my friend's '99 E36 M3 from LA -> Vegas on the 15... too much traffic to take it faster. I wonder how fast those guys from gumball 3k were running ;)

About 180-190kph in my dad's 99 Outback - I believe it has about 165hp. Sweet car. Felt nice and solid at that speed, too. :)

Haha. Got you beat. Got my spec V to 128 Sunday on loop12, racing a Civic Si. I think there's a limiter on the car cause it wouldn't go any faster., and I had plenty of gas pedal left.

Warp 5.5

Seriously, once I drove close to 65 mph, then I realized what was happening and went almost to 66 mph. Whew, didn't get pullover.
Fortunately I reacted fast and ease it back down to the old speed limit of 55 mph. But wow, that was sure intense.

I didnt think you could go that fast with 4.10 gears.

What is the sixth gear ratio? If it's 0.5, then 0.5 * 4.10 = 2.05 reduction. So the engine would be turning at twice the speed of the wheels? right? If the wheels entire diameter is 25 inches, they'd be spinning at 2286 RPM. So the engine would be turning at 4686 RPM? I think :)

Around 97 in the folks 2001 Silverado-285 horse V8
I think the governor kicked in around that because the RPMs shot down when there was definitely room left with the engine. Top speed can't be that high anyways on a vehicle that is designed to tow 8000 lbs
