161 mph in a 1995 black viper rt/10

it was on 422 southbound, at 3am in the morning.

its convertable, and i had the top up, and the wind noise was soooo loud is was insane.

fastest i have gone in like a "normal" car was 138 in a 2002 M roadster

(edit) i shoudl add that both of these i drove are a friend of mine who modified the computers and whatever other stuff he had to do so it wasnt governed..

130 or so in my 76 Camaro. Areodynamics were so bad that the front end lifted at speed, man the nose of that car got light when you went fast.

120 or so on my Honda CB750. It was more stable than the Chevy at speed, had to be, ran up on some debris on the road and after I realized I cleared it and was still alive I slowed down.

80 down the 75mph speed limit interstate in my Geo Metro. Don't need to go any faster, you already feel like you're going Warp 11 with the reactor core about to breach and Scotty ready to box your ears at anything over 60 :)

Notice my speeds keep declining as time goes by? I stick to driving fast on the computer now.

Here's a small car surprise: 125 in an '89 Escort GT. Of course, if I wasn't on a straight stretch of downhill interstate, I'd never have gone that fast.

As stated earlier, Escorts have a max speedometer mark of 85. I had a TransAm running/racing in front of me that let me know how fast I was going. Three of us made it from Louisville to Nashville (180 miles) in barely less than 2 hours, so I was averaging 90. Of course, now that I'm older and wiser, I'd never go that fast. I have problems going past 75 nowadays! :)

Ultima, that's not just a plane old plane. It's what I said it was, a boat, a flying boat, otherwise known as a seaplane. I don't know the actual take off speed, the part where you're still in the water, but I know it flies at 212 knotts or so. It also lands, or waters if you will.

110-120 in Ford LTD ('79 I think)
105+ '83 Chevy S10 V6 5 speed
Which I would have tested my '91 Eclipse turbo
~95 in Ford 2002 F250 Diesel (top speed/near redline).

I have no pics so I refuse to say :) Not that it has stoped me in the past tho.

Racing on a black as hell streat with no one around for miles is ok. Kill yourself, not others. and you better not have anyone else in the car.

Ahhh screw it. About 130 in my own vehic. ( never had it close to maxed out. Ran out of road :D ) Over 160 in another person's vehic ( ferrari ) I was a passenger not driver. I gave up my rights to b!tch when I got in :D

Some of you need to go back to school:

170kph is not equal to 160 -165mph

MPH = kph * 0.6215
kph = MPH * 1.60934

So 170 kph = to 106 mph
and 240 kph = to 149 mph

So 170kph is not so high on a motorcycle.

Okay so my fastest (and scariest) was 118 on a '71 Yamaha 650 (gold/ and 1st 4-cylinder Yamaha made) also was a super windy day. Getting there was fun but decelerating was scary as hell because the bike was being buffeted and it was shaking.

110 in my grand cherokee and 130 as a passenger in my friend's camry...we had 4 people in the car at that time. Not too impressive...but always had fun. I think I go 95-100 regularly in my grand cherokee

Edit: forgot to add car type. 2000 Carolla.
