Around 130. Before you all judge I should mention that it was in a school zone around 8:15am during a snow storm with a baby riding on back.

Hah! I did 135 while careening around a busy maternity ward.

I hope you were at least wearing riding sandals. http://www.bata.com/images/news/news/577_2.jpg

Of course! Don't ride without 'em. Style, comfort, and safety all wrapped up in one little package.

Fastest I was moving? Or fastest the motorcycle was moving?

I think I got up to about 5mph. The motorcycle was moving about 15-20mph.

Note: if you're teaching someone to ride a motorcycle on a 750, and they're holding the clutch in, it's in 1st gear, the choke is open, and they're kick starting the bike, DON'T tell them "okay, as soon as it starts, it's going to rev really high, so let go of the clutch and close the choke."

not me but a friend did 168mph.

He said it wasn't so bad getting up to that speed, but once there and it set in he literally pissed himself and started crying (he was 16). He didn't want to do anything as everything was moving so fast. He finally was able to slow.

He sold his bike after that and stuck to the exotics his dad bought him.

He was a very lucky dude.

edit wrong speed.

I have never driven, nor will I ever drive, more than 5-10 over the speed limit (Still have my permit by the way). My friend; however, hit 110 with me as a passenger (I trust him completely, but I was definitely praying that nothing would happen).

yeap. going fast on a motorcycle is much diffrent then a car. i was on my CBR f3 and went to pass a semi on the tollway. blew by it and looked down and seen it at 130. felt like i was doing 80mph

Especially on one with a full sport-fairing like that ZX-12 which deflects 99% of the wind.

On my Suzuki GFS-1200S I've gone about 135 a couple times and because it only has a small partial-fairing I was being absolutely battered by the wind-force... the ZX was smooth as silk, very quiet & would have kept accelerating if I hadn't noticed I had attained ludicrous-speed then GENTLY backed off!

I hit about 190 once on my 86 Ninja 1000. That is what the speedometer said...not sure how fast I was actually going. I do know that I was going so fast that the State Trooper I passed who was sitting under an overpass didn't even have time to acquire me. He as standing outside of his car. I saw him do a spin in the mirror. I guess he decided not to bother chasing me.

1982, speeds in excess of 125 MPH. The cop said: "Go to jail. Do not pass go, do not collect $200."

I was too scared that I was going to bite it so I didn't even think about going any further. =/

~100 I hate riding that fast, nothing but wind noise and vibration. It's a lot more fun to be doing 45mph and dragging your knees than dodging wind in 100+

I would say shens, getting to 170 would take a quite a bit of time. Not really somethign that happens without you knowing...

Not been over 80 on my new bike.. I want to live now..

Was that an older 1000 Hurricane? Cause if it was..hate to tell you... the speedo is off by about 9%. So you only did about 145. Thats assuming stock gearing and tires.

You should try ~65mph with about a foot of chop :D

Unfortunately I'm still on a 150cc myself, the fastest I've gotten it with a good tailwind was about 64mph.
