hahahah 600.. rofl.. are you stupid or stoned.... no 600 except for the 200k versions the pros race can do 175.... thats 1000 territory.. even on the track our race prepped R6 (about 20k in the bike) would only break 145 on radar on the front straight of Texas World Speedway.
The 1000s would get into the 170s and 180s..
find 1 reputable source that says a 600 will do 175...

You're a moron. I just showed you a video of a 600 doing 182. WTF more proof do you want? I also explained that the speedo is technically off by a little bit - but we're talking less than 10mph.

Other than an actual video of a bone stock 600 doing at least 172 - I'm not sure what proof you need.

EDIT:

not to mention - no ****** "your" race prepped R6 tops out at 145. I'm sure it's geared for the track. (Notice your is in qoutes, as in - I don't believe a word of what you just said.) Not even the "200k pro race versions" are going to it - they aren't geared for highway/top speed.

This is why the zx6rr top speed is less than the zx6r - track/race gearing - Being that you "own" a race bike I'm sure you would know.

EDIT 2:

top speeds as indicated by google (more than one reference for each - I just picked the first couple results, most are as tested by magazines)

Yamaha R6 - 165
gsx-r 600 - 163 (and this was an 03)
cbr600rr - 173

13x MPH in the 99 Mustang GT - damn drag limiting. It's a pooch over ~100, but that isn't really important I guess :p

Ford could have massaged even a LITTLE in a wind tunnel, but oh no, don't spend any money to fix something that isn't "broken".

Still love the 0-90 pull the best though :D

you are a bigger freaking idiot than I even previousl;y thought...

anyone that would post those numbers is a f0rking retard...
none of those bikes will go that fast I have ridden every single one of them.. the CBR600RR barely gets to 140 before the speedo stops pulling the R6 stops pulling at 150ish and the gix is a pathetic 148... ALL STOCK...

and just so you dont make a bigger moron out of yourself.. Texas World speedway is a NASCAR track so we gear for more top end.... over stock..

You sir are a typical internet squid talking trash with no real world experience at all..
I should post this thread over at sportbikes.net and watch all the real riders tear into you like the moron squid POSER like you really are...

CBR929RR fully modded making 145HP stops pulling at 178..
CBR1000RR 160 HP stops pulling at 184
Gixxer 1000 165HP stops pulling at 189

You know Ive never seen one of these "magic" 160+ MPH 600s unless of course youre talking about a Mr. Turbo kit on one..

Ive also never see a 600 come within 15 bike lengths in a top end race of a liter bike... which the speeds youre posting are well within the tricked out liter bike range..

Ugh... I am not going to keep 'feeding' you. Look at the video I posted, then search google for ___insert bike year/model here___ "top speed"

I didn't say that 600's are faster, or who would get to ~170 quicker, or how many lengths one would have on another. As a matter of fact - I didn't even mention a liter bike.. did I?

Not even getting into the fact that most of the 600's aren't top end limited by HP, they're limited by gearing - you keep spewing more trash about hp and turbo kits - again.. watch the video before misinforming everyone.

Yet ANOTHER video - this one has an exhaust - fyi 287kph = 178mph
http://www.uponone.com/videos.php?id=4952

stock 2006 zx6r - 163.5 on radar
http://motorcycles.about.com/library/tsts/bltest234.htm

stock cbr600rr - 'about 160' (confirmed via numerous mag results from google)
http://www.streetbiker-mag.com/sb0139/2.html

want me to keep going? The accepted error rate of most bike speedos is 8-12%. An indicated 183 is ~165mph actual. Also I hope you aren't "racing" "your racebike" at texas world when it's configured for nascar - rofl... you realize that track (as most) can be configured many different ways.. While it's not 'that' technical - I promise you that "your" bike is not geared for top end. IIRC even as a nascar track that thing is only 2.9 miles long - and I know for sure wera doesn't race it as an oval.

You are simply wrong. I'm done with you - and hope others that read your posts see through them as easily as I did.

180-ish on a '90 Ninja 900 - though this is only cars, so
115 in my old '91 Blazer... scary handling at that speed... only did it once...
105 in my '02 Sequoia
and mid-140s in a pal's '89 Camaro back in the day.

Can you tell I'm well past the serious go-fast phase of my life? :p

115 in a 91 Honda Accord EX (2.2L 140HP) ...and it had 200k miles on it!
140 in my 01 Honda Accord V6 (3.0L 200HP/210FPT) <-- At the time. Now 225/230 or so with cold air right off the throttle body, and it actualy sounds good for an import. It sounds like a nice V6 and not a trimmer. I have not tested it again since the upgrade. :p

Not the fastest, I ever drove;
but the fastest I ever got stopped by the Police for,
98 mph.

Car was a 1964 Valiant 170 cid slant 6,
3 speed standard shift, with about 100,000 miles on it.

Had good tires, good brakes, crappy paint.

I had my foot on the floor, on a straight Texas county road for like 3 miles trying to get
the speedo past 100 mph.:D

I came over a small rise in the road, and 1/2 mile ahead was a State Police car.

I started hitting the brakes, and by the time I got to the Police car, 2 officers
were outside the car waiting for me.

The officer asked "how fast were you going Son",
I told him the truth, I was trying to see if the car would go 100mph;
He said "W'elll Son, the Radar said, you was only going 98"
he gave me a ticket for 12 MPH over the speed limit.

' Fastest ever; either in my 67 Camaro, with a 427 big block 4 speed, 3:31 gears,
Or my 1968 GTX, 440, 4 speed 3:23 gears.

Current car,1964 Valiant, V8, dual exhaust, cam, 4 bbl, etc......
it has a 110 Mph speedo, LOL, the needle stopped moving. ;)

145 was the pin on my 1972 chevy laguna. Had it pinned for a few seconds on a deserted highway at 4am going downhill. Scariest ride ever (and stupidest) but I was just 18 and my balls were riding shotgun.

I went just past the end of the meter (120 MPH) in my 97 Ford Escort Station Wagon. I did it going down the Sunshine Skyway Bridge at like 3AM. I probably could have gone faster but it was getting really bumpy so I didn't push it as it would have been tough to explain how my car ended up in the middle of not just Tampa Bay but a major shipping lane.

Dont think I will be doing it again in a hurry......Almost ****** myself on our sorry excuse for a motorway.

On a test drive in an '05 GTO I was above 140 but below 150mph.

Never buy a new car with "a lot" of miles on it.
