About 140 in my dad's '85 corvette. I was the passenger. The fastest I've ever driven is 105 in my '99 Ranger, and I could only hit that with it floored going downhill.

All as a driver.

I have gotten a 127MPH ticket at 17.

Been to 145 (hit limiter)

Drive about 80 normally on my commute (65mph). On trips 90-100, will hit 120 or so during late night romps.

As a passenger I was told once we were over 160 once we got to wherever we were going. I don't know.

When I got done modding my Z I took it out for a spin to see how fast I could get it.

Got to about 170 mph before I let off. Since the speedo only goes up to 165 mph I figured there was no point.

Why swap the engine and keep the standard bar style speedo?

Original motor shredded, speedo still worked.
Besides, you only need a speedo between 25 and 65 mph anyway.
Any cop will tell you how fast you were going. :D

110 on the chicago freeway - no joke.
4 People in the car - racing from Milwaukee (Who could get to the pizza place first) - they got pulled over doing 70.

I nudged over 100 once or twice on remote stretches of Interstate. That was in an early 70s Fiat 124 sport coupe shortly after I kitted the Weber (it was my first new car, but I can't remember what year it was - tried to blank the episode from my mind as I was in the Air Force and a couple of months after I brought it on base, a drunken NCO pushed it up over the curb) . I think I did it again a few more tines in my 1980 Datsun 200SX. I was the driver and the only person in the car at the time.

145 driving my '86 vette on an interstate - she was napping and upset that she missed it - felt like 80. Some roads would make the tires sing - it was a very cool car.

120 to work almost every day on a very limited access, high visibility stretch in the middle of a fairly big city - was usually wide awake upon arrival to work (don't drink coffee).

That's not driving.
flirting with redline eh?
:p

I started hearing very upset rivets when I made a few fairly steep turns :p

You a pilot too? Where do you fly out of? if we're talkin airplanes, fastest I've gone is 250 mph in an arrow :p.. thank god for tailwinds.. lol

Not anymore but when I did, it was kdab. 250 in an Arrow..I guess you're talking about ground speed :) If that's the case, I've done nearly -5 once in the same plane.

I've always been meaning to try getting a negative groundspeed but never got a chance.. lol.. Sounds like it'd be pretty cool so will try and do it next time.. Out of curiosity, why'd you stop flying? too expensive?

~85-90 in an '02 Passat, passing cars on the highway. I've never driven anything that could do really exciting speeds.

Hit 105 in my '95 camry. Was on the I-10 between Phoenix and Tucson. There weren't many cars on the road, and I wanted to have a little fun. Dropped it back down to 80 for the rest of the trip though.

I've gone 90 a few times, but only if there are cars going faster than I am. I feel that I can safely follow behind a particularly fast car so long as I go a little slower than them. That's usually pretty easy in California.

260kph in a lamborghini gallardo

The lambo reps filmed part of it but not the part of me racing a 911 turbo down the road with me, I was comfortable doing 100kph but the guy kept telling me to go quicker.

I'm in the carbon black one. Best day of my life.
