South of Olympia on I-5 I decided to see how fast my 93 VW Corrado could go. I got it over 140 and then I passed a cop?oops. He was stopped on the side of the freeway gunning people, and honestly I don't know if he saw me or not. I kept on going as fast as I could for 2 exits, then pulled off into a shopping center parking lot and took a little siesta for 2 hours.

I still can't believe I got away with that one? This was not a stock VR6 for those wondering.

This was back in 2000.

I think the fastest I've gone in my current car (Mazda3) around 110 (also on the sawgrass).

The fastest I've ever gone on normal roads is 90, but that was right out of high school and in a Ford Focus. (Still can't believe I did that, as the Focus didn't really like going faster than ~75)

I think I've calmed down a bit though since then I usually stay between 70 and 85 MPH during my commute to/from work. On normal streets I stay between 45 and 55 MPH.

107 MPH in a '90 Eclipse in south Texas on I-10 some time around 1995 or so. It was late morning, sunny day. The interstate is fairly straight but up and down hilly, and my front suspension was mostly shot. I'd gone faster but the bouncing was so bad I thought I was going to lose control.

Edit: I was the driver w/ no passengers. Did have a friend following (far) behind.

110 to 120 mph for about an hour of a trip between Vienna and Prague, most of that trip was 2 lane roads so I couldn't get going over 85mph on those sections. In a Renault diesel station wagon.

Not anymore but when I did, it was kdab. 250 in an Arrow..I guess you're talking about ground speed If that's the case, I've done nearly -5 once in the same plane.
