Thanx... not all people understand that some people actually can get a hold of competition bikes and streches to run them on...
Okay fine. Now the specs, please? Surely you have pics and dyno images if this is a competition bike, right?

Well, my car is a 93 VW fox, and it would only be able to hit 85+ in freefall.

I have hit 100 in my mother's Montana...but please don't tell her that.

Well, i'm 17, and now i have desided to quit speeding more that 9 over the posted speed limit (due to the fact that almost all my friends have speeding tickets, at least one).

But when i was 16

-i went 145 in my moms 2002 Nissian Maxima
-i went 130 in my old 1990 nissian maxima, b4 for i wrecked it, :(
-i went 112 in my 1989 honda accord, gah it took me like 10 min just to get up there once i hit 100

Oh fun, i woulda craped in my pants if i woulda got a ticket at any of those speeds

edit* didn't wreck it goin 130, wrecked it at another time.

i would just like to point out i've seen a bike max the speedo at 220 at 6,000 rpm and continue to 8,000 rpm. and it was not a competition bike. i'd agree though if you don't believe. then too bad, nobody cares if you do or not. for people who know. they can respect it. for people who don't, they can go on not doubting.

Where were you to see the speed/tach do this? One the pass hump :)

And you are aware that a speedo on a bike is crap unless it is corrected with something like a black box?

And you would need one long stretch of road to hit 250. And exactly how fast VERIFIED have you been and on what, Saint?

I live in Texas and we have plenty of long, straight roads and also plenty of competition class bikes.

You guys sound like you read and believe too much crap.

To be quite honest.... Im not sure. Well in my old Dodge Daytona it maxed out around 130ish, we drove that fast for nearly 60 miles (god was I stupid teenager) and made it in about 28 minutes  God was I lucky there werent any cops, I woulda been going to jail, this was on a freeway, obviously had to slow down at some parts tho.

On a CBR900 I have gone about 160-170ish, its crazy Ill say that much, too bad I lost my license for a year and my motocycle license for 4 years because of that, and spent a night in jail. Didnt even realize there was a cop chasing me or I wouldnt have slowed down :( He didnt turn on his lights till he caught up, so he didnt scare me off.

In my Firebird WS6 Im not quite sure, it was a newly paved freeway going out to NIU from Chicago, and they had a sign that said "Test Pavement".... my friend said "Hey it says test it, so lets test it" and we floored it.... maxed the speedo at 155ish. Im wondering some about some of these... most modern cars have the speed maxed in the computer at about 10MPH below the speed rating of the tires, I know my firebird did at around 115ish? But the guy who had it before me had reprogrammed the computer.

Used to drive 100+ mph to keep awake, (only kept 1 eye open for most of it, since i was half asleep)...every morning at 5:30-6 am. My Sooby tops out at about 105 drag limited...it just doesn't go any faster.

Unfortunately the need to keep my license for my job means I have slowed considerably, plus I switched to an urban location for work.

I don't believe the thread says "What's the fastest you ever driven, VERIFIED?"

For all the doubters out there, crap somewhere else.

I checked the km to miles .. and 210 kilometers/hour is 130 mph
not bad for an 88 camry that had over 200,000 km on it .. :)
I also blew out a tire going 105 mph (170km/h) in the same car .. I guess I shouldn't have been driving that fast seeing as how threads were actually poking their way out of the tread (the non-existent tread) .. :)
That wasn't fun.
Oh well, you do dumb sh!t when you're a kid .. won't do that anymore untill I get a nice bike or something.</FONT>

125-130 on a 95 Toy Corolla

Did it only once on a loong downhill road (10% grade), with full throttle on 5th gear. My speedometer is only 120MPH but it still went a lot more extra. My cousin on the passenger side was about to puke after :Q, he actually dared me to do it. Good thing the road was clear and no cops around. :) One of the crazies thing I did.

In the stang: 139. It was about 4500 rpm in 4th gear with the car bone stock and not fully broken in. Maybe I could manage another mph or two with 3.73 gears and standard bolt ons it's got now. Runs a 15.01 at 5280 feet of altitude, so who knows.

In the turboslug (1987 Dodge Conquest [2.6L turbo, RWD, 5 speed, heavily modified]): routinely redlined it at 130 mph several times weekly until the brakes turned into figure 8s and the engine started to smoke hard.

In a 1975 GMC high sierra custom: ~100. Was starting to get scared about the 36 inch 6 ply off road rubber at that speed.

In the 1985 Bronco: not sure, the speedo got pegged at well past 85 long before we ran out of downhill or engine. =) I guestimate about 100ish.

In my old 1969 Firebird 400: no idea, the speedo never worked right. But with 4 wheel manual drum brakes however fast I went was WAY too fast. Estimate: 120(?)

In girlfriend's 2000 miata: 80ish. If I wreck it, I bought it. =)
