Why are righties getting their panties in a bunch over Barbie gender questions when from what I remember the doll never had genitalia.
Ron Popiel made a panty buncher that must sit on every repub dresser. Get up in the morning, pre-bunch your panties and then start looking for a reason.
Bunch em up and then spray some starch on them for good measure.

Barbie will probably crack the top 20 all time domestic grosses by the end of next week. Where does it stop exactly? Dunno.

I have no desire to see Barbie but I tend to gravitate to almost anything righties rail against. I was at the movies watching Talk To Me and chuckled at all the people dresses in Barbie wear including guys

Numbers I saw today have Barbie @ #21 and only behind #20 (Finding Dory) by basically $8M. Probably crack #20 tomorrow.

Yeah the drops have kept being less than I thought so going to get there faster.
Letting Nolan walk down the street to Universal has been a costly mistake for Warners though. Oppenheimer going to clear Little Mermaid worldwide imminently.

Though my worst mistake this year award goes to Paramount who picked a total suicide date for a successful franchise. Whoever made that call should be looking for work.

Seems like everyone has Barbie fever. I haven't seen it yet so I can't comment on the movie itself but when I Google the word Barbie the screen turns pink and pink fireworks explode across the screen.

Not sure if joking? I opened a private window and did a search for Barbie and saw it.
Yes he was just joking/giving me some crap. Anyone who Googles Barbie will get the pink screen and the fireworks.

Movie was pretty funny and my 4 year old niece and 5 year old nephew loved it when I took them to see it. Catchy ending credits song they were both dancing to in the aisle after the movie

The movie literally ends with Barbie getting a vagina and going to a gynecologist's office for the first time :tearsofjoy:

Over the 1B hump worldwide and the international rollout isn't even done yet.

Barbie is freaking PG-13? WTF? Do they not know their audience age?? Hope this movie bombs hardcore.

Why the heck is the Barbie movie showing a maps like this? Are they trying to show the child labor sweatshops where they their products are manufactured? :D Honestly, it has nothing to do with the story and they are obviously trying to appeal to a certain market by catering to them to increase viewership. Very weird all around.
This movie wasn't made for 6 year olds. Disney has that market, I guess.

There's no way they'd make a killing trying to appeal to 6 year olds. A lot of grown up people are into the Barbie thing. I saw a woman a couple weeks ago all in skin-tight pink who was the proverbial knock out. She was obviously on the Barbie train.

I'll check it out from the library when they get it. I went to grade school with Ken Handler, the Ken doll was named after him by his mother, Ruth Handler. I never "met" his sister Barbie, but she probably went to the same schools (near Cheviot Hills in West Los Angeles).

For the "who is going to see this?" crowd the answer is apparently: basically the whole country

Barbenheimer blowing the doors off for the biggest weekend since Endgame in 2019, estimated somewhere north of 300M for all films in release.

I'm going to see Oppenheimer in IMAX 70mm in 3 days, matinee in San Francisco. Have a prime seat reservation.

The film "Barbie" has been pulled from theaters in Algeria almost a month after it opened in the North African country

I about half misread that as Alabama.

barbie is not my cup of tea, although my ex wife did mention she went to see it and loved it the last time we spoke. I support any film that pisses the right wing off.

I about half misread that as Alabama.
Having been to both Alabama and Algeria, they're not largely different.

"When the parties start happening, we're gonna see a lot of Barbie," Marisa Uzzolino, manager of PR for Spirit Halloween, told NPR's Morning Edition. "Western Barbie, Skating Barbie, Skating Ken."

The Barbie movie is the highest-grossing movie of the year and made over a billion dollars in the box office. About 1.8 million people are planning to dress up as Barbie this year.

Girlie's got a bit too much paunch though.

Maybe Knocked-Up Barbie?
