thats good - thats what all those guys grew up on, and it shaped their sounds to make them what they are. i'm not saying that the music of the 60s and 70s sucked (goofy hippies) its just it doesn't seem like the end-all for me. its not like the stones and zep and whatnot came up things out of thin air - their stuff was based on what they grew up on. maybe it IS a generational thing. i'm a product of the 80s and 90s, and also would bet that 20yrs down the road they'll talk about the alt-rock movement of the early to mid 90s in the same manner that they talk about the beatles, elvis, stones, etc.
