Wiping down once a day every morning versus putting hand sanitizer on your hands every single time you touch something...You honestly don't see a difference?
It's not like I have my own personal desk, phone, or computer. If I was in a personal cube or had my own personal office, I wouldn't be wiping anything down for sure.

If you also don't see a difference also between showering once a day versus showering 5 times a day, I can't help you there.

I see a difference in the frequency but not in the sentiment or the logic of it.

Unless you work in the sewer there is simply no need to wipe down your desk and other equipment each morning, no matter if you use the same desk or not. There is nothing rational about what you are doing.

i am baffled by them as well
having grown up on a farm, dirt is not a problem

when i was a kid, about 8-9 yrs old, we would go out to the cow pasture in the summer and stomp in cow pies (cow poop, cow dung) with our bare feet

What lot of people don't realize is most germs are not contracted through skin. You can touch something full of germs all you want, just sanitize your hands before putting them in your face, mouth, or touching other things. You can touch a bunch of "public" items all at once, just sanitize your hands after you are done, before you touch your personal items. No need to wash them in between.
