What's the best way to clear up your sinuses?

Some gyms have steam rooms with that like minty smell. Go in there breath through your nose for a lil and youll be all better. Just ignore the horrible burning.

Ok....Listen up. Here is the single best way to clean out your sinuses. Not for the weak, but it is used by hospitals.

1) Get a squeeze bulb. The kind with a large bulb and long, thin tube. Same thing as is used to help newborn babies breathe. It's blue.
2) Prepare a warm solution of salt water.
3) With head tilted over sink to the side, insert tube through nose into sinus.
4) Give'er a big ole forcefull squeeze of salt water
5) Repeat 3 times for each nostril

Sinus cavity cleared.

Try blowing your nose with the soft-pallet lifted. Hard. This forces air into the parts of your nasal cavity it normally doesn't pass through. After 10 blows at most, a huge green piece of sh!t should come out of your nose. At the very least, it'll clean out the upper part of your windpipe. If this doesn't work, try one of the other methods mentioned in this thread (ie the redhead 😉 )

Edit: Also, I've found that taking a supplement with 100% DV of zinc a day helps prevent sinus crap in the first place. All allergies are is the immune system reacting to something that isn't a threat, so anything that boosts the immune system (zinc) will at least clear it up faster.

I go the spicey food route myself... but then again I'm not a typical American who depends on medication and credit 😛

hmm will have to try this. we got a few of those bulbs from when the kids were born.

I did a flip turn wrong at the pool today and got a ton of chlorine water up my nose. It was bizarre smelling things I'd never noticed before for a while after coughing and dripping all that gunk out.

It's not fun. But if you want to really clear out those sinuses this is the only way. No medicine is going to make that crap disappear. This will.

a neti pod would work just as well.
